Helping Hands Daycare Whitby

Helping Hands Daycare Whitby is a great child care centre with caring staff and a bright, cheery atmosphere. Both of our daughters went to this centre, 4 years apart, and both kids thrived! The staff are truly caring and the programs they put together for the kids really helped prepare them for school. I have and will continue to recommend HHDC Whitby!

My daughter has been part of the Helping Hands Daycare Whitby since she was toddler, she settled in immediately upon starting due to the love and care that the staff and supervisor have provided. They welcomed her with open arms, as a parent nothing makes you feel better then to see a smile on your child's face!I would recommend this centre to anyone looking for care... actually more so anyone looking to be part of an amazing extended family. All the staff at the centre go above and beyond to ensure health, safety and love and care for all the children. The supervisor is absolutely amazing and is always willing to work with you as a parent!We miss them so much.

Helping Hands has been an amazing place for our daughter. They have continued to impress us with the handling of the pandemic and the constantly changing protocols. Our child is excited to go each morning and is always happy coming home. We have also enrolled our youngest for their infant room once I return to work. Definitely recommend.

Both of my children have been attending HHDC for a few months now. I can go on and on about how great their centre is! I can tell they truly care for my children, staff are so friendly and professional. The app that they use is so helpful to keep parents updated with pictures, activities, and meals. Helping Hands Daycare in Whitby has been a great experience for my two girls over the past few years. I highly recommend any of their locations, however the Whitby location has superseded my expectations year over year.Environment: Always clean, attractive for infants right up to Kindergarten. Large indoor spaces, always clean, and welcoming. Excellent outdoor space with new style playground, and lots of outdoor toys/activities for ALL seasons. I value outdoor play as my children are very active and my children absolutely rave about their outdoor spaces in our nightly discussions.Staff: The staff are wonderful, and they treat my children like their own. My daughters have now been in multiple rooms and love their ECE's, Supervisors and additional support staff. They are well educated under the ECE program and content that is delivered. Overall my children are getting the exact tools they need to be successful going into JK and SK in future.Cleanliness: I write this review as we are going through the COVID pandemic. Overall the classes are always clean, staff are always wearing their PPE, and all cleaning protocols are carefully followed. In fact my girls understand the importance of hand washing, and keeping others safe as a result of the constant diligence and teachings at HHDC. Parents are immediately notified if child is not feeling well, or something has come up through the day via the Hi Mama application they use and or by phone.Communication: Overall the communication despite the pandemic has been constant and consistent, a lot is to be said for this considering the additional efforts all staff have to make during this time. The Hi Mama app really ensures you get a good feel for what your child has done that day activity wise, what foods they have eaten, if they have slept and how long, and any other messages that need to be given or reminded of. On top of the application the Supervisor, Assistants, ECE's and support staff, always make a priority end of day to speak to you about anything of importance.Overall I give them a 5 star rating! Thanks to your team for enabling a positive environment for my children!.

My son has been to a few daycares already. He seemed depressed at other daycares every time we picked him up.We found Helping Hands Daycare in Whitby and were very pleased with how well things are run there. They enforced health and safety protocols not just for the children, but also the parents. They regularly communicate important information to the parents and any needs of the child.My son is always happy when he arrives and when he's picked up. It's a testament to how his experience has been. We always ask if he has had a good day at daycare and he always responds with, I had a great day!".Thank you to the staff at HHDC Whitby. My children have been attending Helping Hands Whitby for about 7 years now and we've always had a fantastic experience. The programs they run are fun and engaging and the staff really care about the children. They have an amazing playground and beautiful classrooms. My children have loved attending daycare at Helping Hands Whitby.

My daughter loved HHDC! She started in the infant room where she loved the staff immensely, especially Cheryl, and then moved up to the toddler room. After being home with her for a year it was hard to imagine dropping her off each day and leaving her for 8+ hours, but everyone at HHDC made the transition so easy and I felt reassured she was in good hands each day. My daughter would definitely still be enrolled there had we not moved out of Durham Region. I’d highly recommend all of the lovely staff at HHDC in Whitby!

Our son is enrolled and we love the staff at HHDC. They are engaging and patient and communicate well with parents! Also, their efforts during the Covid pandemic have been impressive and thorough and make us comfortable taking our son there knowing that the safety standards are so high. We love it there so much we have already put our daughter on the waiting list!

HHDC has been a real gift. Both of our children have love going there and rave about the activities and friends hey make. The educators and caregivers are consistently amazing. We can't recommend Helping Hands strongly enough!DO your family a favour and check them out.
