Northern Construction Academy

My son went to this Academy for Heavy Equipment Operator as well as AZ training and it was awesome. The instructors were amazing and the course content was excellent. Highly recommend!!!

I attended NCA’s Heavy Equipment and AZ courses in 2021 and I have no regrets whatsoever. The staff and instructors are beyond amazing, have tons of real world experience and helped me every step of the way. I highly recommend this academy to anyone who wants excellent hands on training.

I completed the 4 piece Heavy Equipment and MELT program with NCA this summer, over a span of about three months. I have nothing but positive remarks for the academy and in particular, it's instructors and staff.To begin with, Caitlin was wonderful in getting me set up with the paperwork required, and helped me sort things out with Veterans Affairs to have the entire course covered under the Education and Training Benefit for retired military.Ed, my driving instructor was very knowledgeable, and shared a great deal of personal experience he had acquired in the trucking industry. I am now the proud holder of my AZ license thanks to him.Al and Eric handled heavy equipment, and did a good job being patient with me as I learned my way around the hydraulic machines. Al has a great deal of time working in the general construction field, while Eric has trained operators worldwide and worked in mines all over.NCA is up on the northeast side of the city of Sudbury, a bit of a drive, but it's worth it. The pit facility is great, and all the heavy equipment was new and in good condition. I can strongly recommend.

Just finished the 8 week long heavy equipment course and am giving Northern Construction Academy a 5 star review, would recommend the course to anyone who is interested in Heavy Equipment! The instructors have #1 Safety in mind and are great people with a lifetimes worth of knowledge and different experience! They'll also help you with finding a job at the end! WIN WIN

I took the 6 piece equipment program - and it was amazing! The staff were all so friendly and full of knowledge which ultimately made for a great learning experience. I definitely recommend NCA!
