Scotiabank

The staff members are rude and have no customer service skills. I was told to wait to speak to a supervisor Tina Oliviera who just sat in her office never came out to talk to me. Illiterate and arrogant staff!!

All I have to say is Christopher Fraser saved Scotia bank for me or I would have chosen another bank. He was extremely informative & helpful. He actually took his time to explain everything in detail. My fiancé had bad experiences with other members in this branch, as did I but I'm glad we gave it another chance.

Absolutely horrible service!! I've been banking here for years the staff used to be decent and educated. Now they are illetrate and have no knowledge how to serve a client!! Beware before you go do business with Scotiabank Westney heights plaza.

This branch has the worst customer service. I have been a customer at this branch for over 7 years, and I have noticed over time they have become increasingly unhelpful.Their employees are not properly trained to answer questions correctly. Guyana is very rude, she gave me incorrect information multiple times for a very serious case, and trains her employees to do so as well. She takes no ownership for providing incorrect information multiple times, and each manager will take her side despite being in the wrong. The service will never get better as they won’t hire employees who are able to learn Scotiabank policies at a basic level.Do yourself a favour and save any future troubles by simply banking with the TD across the street. They’re employees go above and beyond to help their customers.

This is my home branch and I’ve been going here for the last 10 years. Most of the time, I have a good experience. There have been long wait times and poor customer service occasionally, but no more than any other bank.However, I was really disappointed the last time I went. I wanted to exchange money to AUD and was told it couldn’t be done. I was told by several workers to go to a currency exchange institution for a better rate. Even after I insisted, they told me ordering AUD for pick up was not available.I was fine with that, until I found out the exchange rate is actually worse at those FX companies. So this Scotiabank location both refused to complete the service and gave me false advice.

I’d give it a zero, but since I can’t, I give you a 1. Came for a card pick up took 45 minutes, staff just walked away with no communication, left me standing at the counter waiting. Once they returned to the counter, just clicking away, still no communication. Just bottom tier. Not to mention the first time I came for this same pick up the system was down, but I will say the young man at the information desk was really kind.

I would rather stash my money in my mattress then to deal with this bank. If you like stress, anxiety and grief then this bank is for you. The staff has no clue as to what they’re doing, they don’t return your calls and as far as I’m concerned, they’re all entry level students. Do yourself a favour…go elsewhere.

Bad experience at this branch. I had the manager of customer service roll her eyes at me when I asked calmly to speak to the branch manager. I called her out on it, and said “they’re my eyes to roll” and walked away.
