I ordered takeout over the phone - Jerk chicken, and boneless Goat curry both large w rice n peas.The Jerk chicken was good enough, it had some spice. But the Goat curry was just average.However, the meat used for cooking is Halal-only ! You can see 'Halal meat' displayed at the store entrance, but I did not see any such disclaimer online.So there is no option if customers want regular meat.

It’s been a while since I have had Trini food and was really craving for roti. This place was marked for a long time and finally made it.The best part, the menu is clearly marked what is vegan, ordering is so easy. The girl on the counter still answered all the questions.Stuffed Roti with Daal and Channa and ordered extra hot. The large roti is LARGE and good size. The Channa very flavourful and hot sauce super good. Would definitely come again and try other dishes.

It’s one of the best dobbles I’ve have tasted in a long time, and they given all the chutney you want, no other place in Brampton offers. Keep it up guys.

Lawd knows that I needed this. It's been years since I last had a roti . Boy, was this good .You all need to stop holding back on the meat, man.Need some more meat in there.

Have been ordering dishes, particularly the curry duck from here since 2018. I’ve noticed since covid that portions have progressively gotten smaller. Well we’re now in 2023 and they’ve literally shrunk. The duck is swimming in a whole lot of curry sauce and the paratha roti is now have its original size, yet the of course prices have increased. Also the quality of the dishes are not as before. I’ll think twice about ordering again.

Was here on Sunday afternoon. This is a great place for all your favorite Trinidadian dishes. The food, atmosphere and service were top shelf. The cashier/ server was so friendly, she had a very welcoming smile. Would recommend Pepper On The Side to everyone.

Walked by during lunch today and thought I'd give them a chance and I was extremely happy with my order. I had the jerk chicken (bone-in) roti lunch special and it was great. Devoured it before I could take any photos, will have to remember for next time!
