The Mechanic

I brought my car into The Mechanic because my engine light was on. The Mechanic insisted that he would get the job done in under two days and quoted me a price of just over $600. When I returned to him and picked up my car not only was I charged almost $300 more than the initial quote without consent, but about two hours later my engine light turned back on. I brought my car back once again to have it fixed and again left only to have my engine light turn back on at the end of the same day. A couple of days later I visited a different mechanic to fix my engine problem. The new mechanic was sceptical that any of the parts had been installed / fixed, and when I spoke to The Mechanic at the shop once again over the phone he admitted to only having installed one out of the three quoted parts. I would not recommend going to this mechanic unless you want to be overcharged, stolen from, and then aggressively confronted when you question him on the work that was completed. Please avoid coming here at all costs.

Wow! Never had a more rude call. I had a very specific question about replacing a 2010 Chevy Cobalt Front Axle Seal on the passenger side and what the ballpark price would be. He angrily told me he wasn't selling potatoes" and hung up after 45 seconds. Other garages happily answered

I agree with most of the reviews below. This guy is a crook! Living a few blocks away I have returned to Ameur" The Mechanic a few times for various repairs. For me

I called The Mechanic this evening to ask some questions about getting some work done to my car. A very rude man answered the phone and immediately started yelling at me to leave them alone, and to stop calling (I have never called this garage before in my life-I'm new to the area). I tried to explain that this was my first time calling, but he continued to talk over me and told me I was a liar, and he knew my number, and continued on and on. He was very, very rude and would not let me speak. I will admit I got worked up and used a swear word. He finally realized I was not the person who had been calling, but then he then proceeded to lecture me about how a woman should speak to a man. And that women do not have the right to speak to men that way. I will never ever take my car to this garage.

This guy's a crook. Soon as I walked in the door (he saw me pull up) and I asked for an oil change, he said my oil change will cost $100 bucks. I've been changing oil in my car for 10 years, regular oil, at about $35 to $40. When I called him out, he panicked and called Volkswagen" who I'm pretty sure was his buddy reaffirming me it's $100 bucks. Slick moves buddy

Amer is very very honest. II have been going here for 12 years and he has taken care of my 1979 Fiat Spider, Toyota Avalon , now my Subaru Outback. He will tell exactly what you need not want the dealer says you should do. If you want honesty and completeness ( He is You Man ) It is not the fast service but the honest service. I have saved thousands of dollars over the years.

The Mechanic was honest and told us that if our air is ice cold but just weak blowing, it's NOT the compressor.We appreciate the honesty and did confirm it was the Blow Fan Motor.If we ever have any issues we like honest mechanics and who doesn't?We recommend The Mechanic!

I have come to get this shop for a few years now. I used to walk by it daily for a while and always noticed how clean the yard and garage are. The owner is always sweeping leaves and clearing snow and looking after his property.So I started bringing both our cars here for all general maintenance like tire changes, oil changes, new batteries and a few flat tires over the years.The service is always prompt and professional and I enjoy a chat with the owner every time I am there as well.He is honest and never does any unnecessary repairs. Prices are very fair as well.

He’s genuinely interested in what he’s doing, no matter how busy he’d give you all the time you want.Okay so I cane in because my radio wasn’t working for a while, the guy literally changed the “audio” fuse and the stereo was on. He was busy there were 5 cars in the garage and still gave me time without asking for a single penny.

I came to this place to fix my flat tire when my tire was still OK to drive to the garage. This guy said he is busy and can't fix my flat tire. By this time the tire was fully flat and can't drive the car at all. So I called the tow. When I was in call with the tow company the guy came out and told me to move my car from his place. Not allowing me even a moment. Very sad never met this kind of person ever. Very much frustrated with his conduct. If it is possible i'll give him zero rating.
