Georgian Shores Marina Owen Sound

I called them up to feel them out a bit.. under new owner ship. Property was purchased recently by Maple Leaf marinas. Fair size company with stores popping up all over Georgian Bay.. I think our cottage country is about to have a lot of change, upgrades and more modern shops coming. I'm curious to see what there plans are for Owensound marina.

Great place to buy boats or parts for boats!! Always great staff!! They also have a good cleaning station of you catch fish!!

great marina,The entire staff went the full 9 yards to ensure we had a great experience and stay.great boat launch and fueling station.like cheers everybody knows your name.The other boaters are always there to give a helping hand.Their service Department and the parts storeknow there stuff.After dealing with five. different marine outfitters with no reply Georgian shores had my parts in two days.when I did pull my boat out and stored outsideevery time We came up it was just as we left it.Georgian Shores Marina is updating constantly. Like all businesses all in moderation.I can wait to go back next year, lots of funlike one big family.And no I did. not get benefits to right this blog. I'm a current REAL customer here. This was our first year here (2021 season) and I really cannot find much if anything to complain about. I realize there have been changes this year (ownership/some staff). We are occasional day sailors with a modest vessel. We do not demand too much from the facility. It has more than we really use/need. Many new/clean amenities (somewhat restricted in summer 2021 due to pandemic). Staff always very friendly (Donna, Wendy, Stacy, gas dock staff). Admittedly this marina is mostly occupied by power boats. The sailors are mostly next door at GYC. But I never felt awkward about being one of the few sailboats here. Slip prices here are higher than next door (I'm told) but for that you get good amenities, and real staff doing the work around the place - good for those only coming in for the weekends who just want to boat. Some new docks were added this summer. Lift in-out was organized and easy (except for wait time due to some mast take downs). Chandlery: sailing hardware is somewhat lacking - mind you both things I needed in a pinch - battens and some blocks - were available and surprisingly inexpensive; but there is lots of stuff overall and not crazy expensive. NOTE the mechanic's shop on-site is not run by the Marina. We've signed up to stay next year (even though I have a brother-sponsor at GYC).

Had. A boat temporarily docked here and had some mechanical issues. Steve, Stacy and tech were all super helpful with great communication.

This is a beautiful marina with outstanding facilities; the Boater's Lounge and washroom/shower areas are clean and newly renovated. Wendy manages the marina and is consistently organized, professional, and kind. In many ways she helped to make our introduction to boating as convenient and comfortable as possible. We are also thankful that Norm (the mechanic) helped solve a few initial issues that we faced with our new/old sailboat. The gas dock staff were knowledgeable and our boating neighbours were helpful and patient with us as we learned the ins and outs of docking. Overall, we had a very positive experience at Georgian Shores Marina and look forward to visiting again in the future.

4 years we been seasonal at Georgian Shores Marina O.S. The facilities are new, the staff are very friendly and useful. We always have a great summer and we are planning to enjoy many more.

We decided to stay at the Marina in Owen Sound for the Canadians Fastball Tournament. Wendy was very accomodating and explained everything. The boat launch was easy to use, our slip was close to the Boater's Lounge and the dock was well kept. The lounge was immaculate and the washroom and laundry facilities were top notch. Better than most 5-star hotels. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had originally booked for one night but decided to stay an extra because of the beautiful facility and atmosphere. We highly recommend.

New buildings. Nice and clean. Fuel and pump out dock. Very expensive to stay for one night, compared to all other marinas. The gas price is good though. Laundry is only coin operated with no coin changing machine. No service after 5pm. Difficult to contact, no vhf 68, only by phone, leave a message. Nice people.
