Elk Ridge on the Lake

Stayed here for my honeymoon and we didn’t enjoy our stay as well as we expected. There was no air conditioning and the ceiling fan in the bedroom didn’t work too well and it was very loud. There were many mosquitoes in our suite as there were holes in the window screens. There were people outside our windows until 1-3am partying loudly and kept us awake. I called to complain about the noise but the person I talked to said there was nothing they could do. I honestly found this place too expensive for what you get. We stayed 3 nights and it was over $700!!!! Was hoping this would be a good place for our honeymoon but it wasn’t. Won’t be staying here again unfortunately.

Love the location, right across the street from the lake and next door to a great restaurant. Staff are wonderful and the rooms are large and clean. The Tv channels are great as well for those rainy stay inside days. Love this place!

Absolutely brutal stay. No hot water. Upcharhe 525.00 for a wine spill. This place is corp owned and 3rd world co dictions

We have stayed here on 2 different occasions a few years apart. The suites were dirty both times. We needed to clean before we could unpack our stuff. This time there was so much stuff under the couches, stuff spilled on the walls and floor and garbage(used bandaids) next to the garbage cans on the floor. Our kids are little so we needed to clean before they put the stuff they found on the floor in their mouths. My husband complained but the staff working just said ok but nothing was really done. The location is great, right off the lake and slightly away from the busy beach.

Stayed there several times.Clean, large rooms.Great service from staff.My room had great view of the lake. Very affordable.Nothing fancy, but not run down.I will stay there again.

Beautiful location and clean rooms. However, owner is very rude and not understanding. We were new customers who had booked our stay for our cousin's wedding. We arranged to stay one night, and the staff member we had talked to on the phone was understanding and said we were able to book only one evening as that is all we required. We got a confirmation email for the one evening. Then when we checked out we were told there was a minimum two-night stay policy by the owner and was forced to pay an extra night, although we had only booked to stay one night. We were not told ahead of time about this policy and we're completely unaware of it. They said they sent another email, but it was sent to an incorrect email and there was no further effort to make contact with us to ensure we knew the policy. The owner was very abrasive to my entire family and would not take responsibly for her staff's miscommunication. Our MasterCard provider even said that her policy and business was sketchy". All in all

I've been staying at this lodge every summer since 2019 and will probably be back again next year. This was the first stay since Elk Ridge bought it, and the stay was as good as always. My only complaint would be that they removed the individual BBQ's in favour of a couple communal BBQ's on the ground floor. All in all not a deal breaker for staying here again.

We recently stayed at the lake lodge for about a week.The rooms, the views and being so close to town put this spot at the top if you are looking to stay in Waskesiu. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the place. But what I think puts Waskesiu Lake Lodge on the platinum level compared to the rest is the Staff!From the moment we checked in, I could tell they were a very friendly group, after about 10 minuted of meeting them I felt like I had met some new friends. I have never been on first name basis with a hotel staff before but it made my stay so much better.Kim, who was so great about getting us Paddle Boards and setting our golf booking, and who always greeted me in the morning with a smile on her face or a laugh at the roughness of my morning appearance.Spring, who was always smiling, willing to help and who really went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable.Bob, Bev and the rest, who always had a helpful suggestion if we were looking for something to do about town.We really had such a good time and are looking forward to coming back hopefully very soon! I wanted to share my impressions of staying at this hotel. Beautiful view from the balcony. Very clean rooms, bathroom, kitchen. Professional service. I highly recommend this place worth investing money. I'll be back

Good location. Very close to the lake, good for a group of people, neat and clean rooms, but its very hot in day and night in 3 rooms only one room had air conditioning
