Calgary Hot Plate Restaurant
First time I visited this place. I do not recommend this restaurant (Hot Plate) to anyone.!!!!! Stay away. The restaurant is very dirty. The server brought us water and it looked like they didn't wash anything here. I found a plastic string in my chicken. The service is OK and that is the only reason it's getting a one star(and because I wouldn't be able to write this review). The Heath Inspector needs to revisit the restaurant. The interior need and renovation. Table tops are cracked and the chairs ripped. The food was flavorless. I hope they turn this place around.

The food here is to tasty! Large portions and authentic (according to my Pakistani friend) taste.We had a really big group and everything came out correctly except one plain rice we didn't order. That was resolved quickly.Worth the visit to the northeast for great Indian/Pakistani food.

Hot plate has good halwa puri , kebabs & weekend lunch buffet. Unfortunately we had 6 puris under cooked. It was to busy for them to do anything. By & large the is good & authentic. Service is bit slow but not bad for Pakistani restaurant.

We love their Halva Puri Cholae but their mutton biryani is also amazing. Unfortunately they have one of the most expensive buffets so I haven’t tried it. I suggested they lessen the items and therefore lessen the price. Really good Pakistani food.

The best authentic Pakistani breakfast (halwa puri nashta) and delicious hot desi tea! Definitely will come back when in Calgary next!

If you love Pakistani or Indian food then this restaurant is the perfect bet! . All the dishes are authentic and delicious. Must try chicken biryani place, prawns masala, butter chicken and rice kheer. This has become my favourite place to eat chicken biryani. Can’t wait to try other dishes too. Well done Hot plate team!

worst food ever going down the hill owner is rude food is burnt. I dont even know if they even serve halal. I have included some pictures. I went for the buffet before it's not good either waste of money. I will be including more pictures soon. most of the reviews are from his friends and family dont fall for it. The owner(Mohammad) never offered a discount and give me a wrong cell phone number to send pictures to. If you want sicknesses your welcome to Hot Plate.

Calgary Hot Plate Restaurant
Have been to this restaurant many times. Most of the time we had their mixed kabab platter. All the items are delicious in the platter except the tandoori chicken. I like their Bihari kabab, chicken tikka and beef sheekh kabab. We once had their chicken biriyani. It was a large portion and taste was alright. Today we had their nihari and beef haleem as take out. The haleem was one of the best we had in Calgary. The Nihari was also yummy and the two pieces of meat were quite large. It is one of our favourite restaurants. They also have buffet which we tried couple of times. But we were disappointed in both the times.
