Lemon Creek Pioneer Campground

Absolutely great little spot! Camping is clean & reasonable in price, and the rooms within the lodge are quaint & comfy if you need a change of scenery. The owners are lovely, and the food is spectacular. They mention they will retire soon from the Lodge, so I am curious who will do as good a job as them!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very quite little Campground. Everything was clean and rustic. We had good wi fi in the Gazebo, and the owner gave us permission to let our dog off leash if he was well behaved. We are returning for our second time bringing friends with us. Love biking on the rail trail, and kayaking on the Slocan River. And we saw a bear here, a hi-light for us. If you like full amenities, this place may not be for you, but a great place to relax in a comfortable RV.

My family and I recently stayed here, the sites are abit backwards, and it is beautiful but quiet run down. The website is not as accurate as you would hope. We came home with a mouse in our trailer, good thing for my cat who cleared that up quickly. Also we came with wood but the next morning the owner stopped by demanding money for wood we haven’t even taken yet. We did pay for what wood we did take in the future which was very inexpensive needless to say. All in all it was quiet and relaxing .

Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Great location within less than an hour from Nelson. Had a room inside the lodge which was very comfortable except for the weak WiFi and lack of air conditioning (with only a small desk fan that was broken). Included breakfast which was delicious. Two communal bathrooms which were very clean with hot showers and modern fixtures.

Lemon Creek Lodge offers down home friendly people willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. They included a delicious fresh cooked breakfast with your room. We have enjoyed our stays in their rustic Lodge, and will be returning on future travels. The Lodge has comfortable and cozy rooms with shared bathrooms, they also have a number self contained cabins.

Very peaceful place. Close to the river and good hiking. Be aware that Google maps will direct you down a private drive. Do NOT go tat way. If you are travelling north, take the next left on to Kennedy road and following all the way down and round to the left. The campsite is then on your left.

The lodge is probably one the most relaxing, unique, and worthwhile places you could ever stay. It's basically a perfect cross between a hotel and a cabin (hence why it's called a lodge I suppose, lol). The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating, the rates are more than affordable, the food is 1st class, it's cool during the days with good air conditioning, you have access to wi-fi if you need it, and the location is secluded enough to offer a calm, peaceful stay inside what is, imo, one of the most beautiful places in this country. I've been going there for over 17 years now when I travel out to B.C and have never had a bad experience. Definitely check it out if you have the chance.

Lemon Creek Lodge restaurant is great! It is older and has a lot of charm. The food and the service are excellent.We have been going here for a few years now. It is usually quiet, and romantic. The decor and ambiance is not for everyone, kinda of country kitsch.We have only had great meals here, just went for Valentine's day, had a perfect steak and lobster tail, delicious! My lady friend had seared tuna, also great.If you are out this way, call ahead and check it out. Great for after a day of exploring the valley!

Peaceful, lots of space, not much to do but sit by the fire, for me it was ideal. Reminded me of old school camping back in the day.

Recently camped with our family here. The surroundings were beautiful as are many surroundings in the Kooteney area. The camp facilities were VERY run down. There is one flushing toilet in each bathroom with free showers, if you like cozy/cramped it might be fine. The cost per site was reasonable, but is only for 2 occupants, we paid extra for every child with us. The payment structure was confusing and misleading and we were not really sure what we were paying for or why. Our extended family stayed in the rustic" cabins
