Redbird Live

Everything about redbird is five stars. An amazing venue with friendly staff, great acoustics. And a wonderful atmosphere. We are lucky to have this place in our neighbourhood.

This was a really nice venue for live music. They have a good selection of drinks, good amount of seating. Overall I enjoyed my experience here. Of the other businesses that have been at this location in the last 5+ years I think this one is a real gem :)

Great Music venue. Great layout. Great staff. Great customers. And most importantly great performers.

This is a newly opened live music venue since spring 2022.Located a km south of Lansdowne so easy street meter parking and free side street parkings.Interior decore is layback with chic velvet linings, dark green vine design walls and dotted with some tables at the centre.The acoustic is nicely arranged through out this small intimate venue. The whole area is less than 1000 sqft, open design with the bar/ snack by the entrance. They also have a few “ out of range” seating areas for those prefer quiet spaces or not in the middle of music concert but wanting to feel the ambiance nearby.Most nights, there is an admission required ( $10-$25) mostly depending on the band or group playing. Once a week, there is a free admission night for open mic or general participation.While this is a beautiful and speakeasy feel music venue, the music performances target very specific audiences and hence it is rarely full or packed. In fact, I would have prefer this venue for romantic or intimate outings with jazz, big band, soul or opera type of music…… just does not seem to fit with most of the music played at this location.But if you are looking for a nice live music venue and do not care what type of music played, this maybe a nice hang out.

Music lessons with Shaun have brought so much joy to my life. This place is a real boon for the arts community in Ottawa. Thank you for everything you do.

Love, love, love this venue. More intimate feel with no trade-off for great sound.Comfy seating options not only add to the ambiance but are a lovely way to take in the artist of the evening.

Great music, friendly people, t-shirts for sale. Cool drinks , licensed and great non-alcoholic options. Tasty pastry, filling sandwiches. Also has a music school for piano, vocal and stringed instruments. Easy to find, downtown. Worth checking out.

First time last night for the 5 of us to see Brock and the Weber Brothers. Loved it....staff were excellent..made you feel very welcome. Sound was great! Definitely will be coming back...great venue!!

Beautiful space and a good music room. An inclusive and supportive environment for musicians at all levels and lots of variety for listening. :) Staff are wonderful and friendlyOne caveat: the Open Stage ought to be more egalitarian.
