I recently had the pleasure of visiting NC Salon and receiving a hair transformation by the talented hair stylist, Chris. I cannot express enough how satisfied I am with the outstanding service and exceptional skills demonstrated by Chris.During the entire process, Chris showcased remarkable precision and attention to detail. His talent and creativity truly shone as he transforming my hair into a stunning masterpiece. The result exceeded all my expectations, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Ronald was my hair stylist. He is friendly and professional. Would recommend and come back for sure.

Third time going there for haircut, I have long, curly and thick hair. I wanted a trim, face framing and removing the weight from my hair a little.Booked my appointment with Jason (senior stylist). Previously I had haircut with Ivy and Tina. Both were amazing.This time I was a little nervous as the receptionist informed me that there would be language barrier and he doesn’t speak English fluently. I took the risk and was pleasantly surprised. The person who washed my hair translated what I want. Jason was calm, gentle and very professional with my hair. ( having thick curly hair make most hairdressers to treat my hair with aggression which I don’t like).I liked my haircut, I just wish he had more time styling my hair but his other client was waiting and blow drying was a little rushed.They asked me to book 1/5 for hair cut next time which was a fair point.

I went to NC Salon to get my hair cut and colored about three weeks ago. My stylist was Tina. I was pretty nervous as I've only had one person cut and style my hair for my whole life. I haven't had my hair professionally cut since the pandemic started and this was also the first time I've bleached my hair to get this type of colour. I was waiting until now to make a review so I can take a look at the colour payoff, and it's still holding on great ! Plenty of my friends who have done similar shades to mine have faded out very quickly at other salons but Tina did such a good job on the colour, it's really impressive. I definitely recommend this place. I had a colour consultation before my appointment and everyone was very nice and patient. The salon is extremely clean.If there's one thing I would like to tell anyone looking at reviews is that a some of the stylists in this location speak only mandarin or cantonese. I didn't know or realize before my colour consultation so it was a little suprising but I should have expected it based on the location. Please understand that this in no way a negative, and there are stylists there that did speak English. But if you are particular about your hair and want to accurately communicate what you want, I would recommend mentioning any language barriers to the front desk when booking. I actually imagine this location would be the only one that have this particular issue as the other locations are more mid/downtown.Overall I had a great experience and I would definitely go back to get my hair done!

I have been going NC salon for a few years and I strongly recommend Elaine to everyone. I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone but her, Not only she gives an amazing haircut but she makes the entire salon experience unforgettable. I have natural frizzy hair which is a real pain! She suggested keratin smoothing treatment and it is changed my entire look!!! Totally! I absolutely love it! I feel very comfortable sending my friends to her as I know how professional she is.Also, the salon is very neat and clean. They give the highest importance to maintaining hygiene standards. The people are friendly and the services are awesome.

My haircut was totally butchered. Really disappointed as I booked with a “senior” stylist, but my hair was cut way too short despite providing several reference pictures. On top of that there was a huge communication barrier as it seemed like my stylist did not speak English at all. I don’t think my stylist was comfortable with men’s hair, and I ended up paying over 70 dollars for a haircut I had to spend even more money on and fix at a barbershop.I guess this salon is great if you are a woman, but there are much better options out there for a men’s haircut where you can get a proper fade for much cheaper.The pros of this salon are it’s atmosphere and customer service.

Great athmosphere but hair stylish isn’t so good. I’m unsatisfied with my hair cut for the second time. So I won’t return. I kept going because the first time I went I had an amazing hairstylist (a guy) but he’s no longer working for them.

Elaine has been my hair stylist for many years. She does a great job every time. She is professional and skillful. I would highly recommend NC Salon to family and friends.

I’m very happy with my experience at NC Salon! This is the third time I’ve been here, but first since the pandemic. Glad to see the store is very clean and everyone is wearing masks which makes it feel safer, since the stylists have to get close to cut your hair. They give you a locker to put your belongings in, and have some water and a little snack. I always get the junior cut, so they give you a nice hair massage and wash, then cut and style. I had Carol this time and she was great! She gave useful styling tips since she understood my hair situation very well. She inputted her professional insight while making sure that I got what I wanted (few inches cut off, nice layers and U-shape). My appointment took about 1 1/2 hours and was $50 (plus tax and tip) which I thought was really reasonable. Overall, very pleased and will be back in the future and hopefully with Carol again!
