BBQ place, not for vegetarians and vegans for sure, beer selection was Meagher food experience was average, waitress was pleasant- a sports bar type of venue and mostly locals, so it implies the restaurant has regulars, not as busy as successful restaurants should be around the dinner hours

Popped in to this cozy BBQ joint mid-roadtrip, just hoping for a cold beer and a warm meal. While I know Quebec is known for its poutine and ribs, I didn’t expect such a quaint, locally-owned spot to boast some of the best brisket north of Texas alongside fall-off-the-bone ribs with a killer homemade sauce.Considering the reasonable price and especially lack of nearby alternatives, Colosse punches way above its weight. The staff are all absolute sweethearts and the microbrews are top notch! Highly recommended if you find yourself in the area.

We stopped on a whim in Montmagny as we were traveling through Quebec. So glad we did. My wife and I had a terrific dinner at Colosse, comparing favourably to excellent barbecue that I've had when traveling in the southern US. We had the brisket and the pulled pork. Creamy coleslaw with apple as a side, along with some corn bread. We were super happy with the experience, the food, and the nicely appointed venue. We ate on the patio but the decor and setup inside was also very nice.

Tried the pulled pork with the Chipotle sauce. My wife had the pulled chicken with Beer-B-Q sauce. Her sauce was typically mild, but the Chipotle was surprisingly spicy, the way I like it. The Cajun potatoes were well done with salt, Cajun seasoning, and sautéed for a crusty sear. Excellent! We both had the small cucumber/tomato side salad, and the cilantro dressing was first rate. If anything I wished for, it was that there was more of it. Decor is chic with a modern flair. I like it. Parking is plentiful. If I ever stop by the area again I'd go back.

Gorgeous location, vaulted ceilings, immaculately cleaned, what looked like a sweet patio connected with a large garage door for opening on nice days and modern decor.We grabbed some quick takeout staying in Montmagny for the evening. Tried the smoked meat sandwich and the brisket. Bread could have been a bit fresher, but the smoked meat was delicious. A bit on the dry side but I still enjoyed my meal. The brisket was lacking in fat, nice sized piece of meat just didn't have that good oily flavor that fat provides for the perfect brisket. The fires both normal and Cajun were crispy and delicious. Overall satisfied with the meals and very pleased with the service we received.

Really enjoyed this BBQ joint. Smoked meat had great flavor, I tried the chipotle bbq sauce on chicken, Mac and cheese side and corn. Kids had mac and cheese with bacon. Very well done Mac and cheese, classic flavors. We also ordered the 3 meat sandwich which was delicious. All the portions were just right. Very close off the highway, parking, clean bathrooms. Service was good. We arrived on a weekday, shortly after it opened for lunch and it was very quiet.I would definitely eat here again.

Did take out while we were passing through the area, got the Colossus Putin took one bite and immediately noticed it didn't taste right unwisely I took a few more bites and then gave up. Wound up throwing up all through the night to the point where my throat was bleeding. I think the COVID pandemic may be hit Quebec pretty hard and they just haven't recovered because since then I have not had a single good meal in this province.

Delicious!!Everything was very tasty and delicious:) Apple coleslaw was an appetizer and dessert :) just kidding, but I order some to go. Best coleslaw I've ever had. Smoked meat was also delicious.
