True gem of a movie theatre. Great snacks especially their damn fine corn. It has an old school feel once you’re seated. If you’re a movie aficionado, be sure to visit. It’s located on the UVic campus across the bus loop and the bookstore.

If you want a great movie experience where everyone shows up on time, no one talks or texts during the movie and everyone stays through the credits and delicious and affordable concessions are also available to you, Cinecenta will be your jam.Pro tip: bring your own coffee mug and pay $1.75 for your Java fix.

Great shows at great prices. Not mainstream hollywood stuff but classics, eclectic and independent movies. The young staff even tore themselves away from their cellphones long enough to sell popcorn. We saw the 1927 silent classic Nosferatu" complete with pianist on stage. Great! All was clean and comfy

A very friendly environment that is a little throw back in time. The snacks and drinks are all very reasonably priced as well as the tickets themselves. Shows new and old movies.

The best thing after a long day in University is to go to Cinecenta!! The buttered popcorn was really good! Super convenient prices and a good service!

Small town feeling in this theater located at a university. It's smaller, but their rotating selection of titles keeps this place as a favorite movie destination. Low ticket and food prices. Easy paid parking, old school seats, screen is big enough that you won't feel like your TV is better. Support Cinecenta, you'll be happy to have it as an option now that university heights theater options are gone.

Great films, real butter on damn fine popcorn and don't forget to put extra butter and yeast in the middle of a large bag. Pay parking is free on Sundays.

As a UVic student in the 80s, I was a regular patron of Cinecenta. Last night I went back for the first time in many years. The seats are reupholstered, but still the same design as they were 35 years ago. They still serve damn fine popcorn". The sound and picture quality were good for the movie that I saw. It's a great place for limited release films
