The instructors are amazing, passing the certification with them is pure pleasure. However, boutique employees, despite the fact that they are very kind are not organized; not scheduling the certification dates, confusing names, providing half empty bottles, missing boots, 2 left boots, dry suit with hole, no weights, etc. Not a single time we went, 100% of things have been done correctly. All this in just two week-ends. Hope it will improve. In any case, I still recommend the experience with Total diving even if you need to double check everything each time you interact with the boutique. :)

This is one of the premier diving shops in Montreal and perhaps Quebec. A 5 star Padi shop with all courses available including technical diving. Tons of gear on display, most inventory I have ever seen in Quebec. Store service can be spotty as divers don't always make the best front line staff. Highly recommended. Would have given the 5th star for better customer service.

I was Threaten after the review below was posted and insulted on facebook by Scott Mcgregor (an employee): Because I work in the bank Sebastien Savignac (shareholder) threatened me that if I were not to delete the review below that the shareholder Michel Bellerose investissement will switch from the bank I work to the competition. They also wanted to pay me to removed my comment and blamed their instructor instead of themselves. It's getting worst ! initial review below:I have taken the open water certification at Total Diving and bought some equipments at their shop. Apart from my instructor that was excellent (Thank you DANA !), the Total diving shop experience was awful. Long waiting time, bad equipments, they forgot to book me and did not book an instructor, did not have a swimming pool.It started when I went to order the course and bought the equipment. I had to wait 20 mins before I could speak with someone (some employees (Scott Mcgregor)were walking around). 20 mins later I got served but while I was speaking the employee (Scott Mcgregor) took his phone (3 consecutive times). When I asked what is the best equipment to purchase for Caribbean water the employee (Scott Mcgregor) answered whatever you like it's all the same, just pick your favorite color. The employees were pushing very for selling their wetsuits even though I said no 3 times.When I paid for the Open Water course and I did not get the DvD to watch at home (and the person I did the course with did not get it at all). The best of all was when I arrived as supposed on a Saturday at 9am for my first lesson. The employee (Scott Mcgregor) said that he forgot to send an email to the instructor and that I should come back next week. I asked for reimbursement and then he had to wake up an instructor that was not schedule (she was amazing by the way, thank you again Dana).Even worst. On Saturday you are suppose to go on a swimming pool. Yet, the shop did not have reserved one. The shop sent us to a site called La Cascade which was closed when we arrived on site and we were forbidden to dive. Thankfully our instructor called a friend of her who borrowed her private and personal swimming pool to dive.The equipments were average. Some had wholes and the shop did not had all the sizes available. Also please verify your equipments and tanks because I had a bad one but thanks god I noticed it.

Very good, stand behind their products, quick to respond to issues. Had to return a dive computer with sticky buttons, recommended a different model, accepted return and processed refund quickly, shipped new one and all is good! Great job Total Diving!

Great service, friendly staff! When they found out that they did not have the model I was looking for, they made a discount and sold a more advanced model for the same price (not everyone will go for it). I recommend to those who are looking for equipment in Montreal!

Great staff and focused owner! Total Diving refocused itself last Fall and you can tell. The staff is engaging, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The owner is around & accessible (he's a super smart/funny guy too). If you want a high quality experience see them. They also specialize in Gen-Y Scuba. If you're between 18 and 35 and have never tried Scuba now is you chance!!!!

Good equipment. Good rentals in general. Service is about a 3.5/5 based on about two dozen visits. If you take your gear in for regular maintenance, know that in my experience it is a bit disorganized. After going here for several years, and having a few issues with gear improperly reassembled, lost in the shop, or getting a hard time often along the way, i decided to get our gear maintained somewhere else.But i still go back to total diving for tanks, weights, and other equipment rentals, and new gear. They rotate in new rental equipment regularely and they do a LOT of courses. Equipment is generaly quite new and in good condition. My wife and I took our OW, APW, and Nitrox spealty certifications here, and would go back for others. Their location is great and easy to access by public transit. And they have ample parking out back.
