Both Jay and Tinna go well above and beyond the call of duty in order to make sure my car is 100% perfect.I first came to the shop with a beat up 1986 Porsche 944. With strategic restoration and modification, the car is now my daily driver for 8 months of the year. It turns heads, sounds awesome, flies around corners and, most importantly, puts a massive smile on my face.Since then, I have approached Jay with some unique proposals and projects. Jay Lloyd is honest, extremely knowledgeable, and has a keen sense for Porsche 911 air cooled cars.Four years ago I purchased a 1972 Porsche 911. Jay Lloyds is very likely the foremost Porsche artisan in Canada and if you are lucky enough to collaborate with Jay on anything from a service through to a full rebuild you can proudly add yourself to the Klassix family. After having plucked up the courage to invest in my first 911 (a ’79 SC) and having had a frustrating run-around of various well known shops in the GTA I was recommended Jay by members at Pelican Parts and met him the following day. This was a mere month ago and, today, sitting in my driveway is an extraordinary 911 thanks to Jay’s unmatched knowledge, extraordinary talent and unrelenting attention to detail. It is rare to meet a person who takes such pride in their work as Jay and it shows, everywhere! Jay sent me detailed photos and explanations of every step he was taking. Everything had a reason, everything was executed to perfection and the photo archive of over 800 images of the work he did on my suspension, brakes and engine didn’t leave me with a single moment of doubt in a project which was a significant undertaking for us both. I have nothing but the highest praise for Jay Lloyds. Aside from this praise of his work he is quite simply a fine, honest and awesome human and if you are reading this recommendation you can now stop looking for your mechanic!

I have known Jay since 1999 when shortly after the purchase of my first Porsche - a 1990 964 C4. Jay rescued me from some pretty bad service and started a bond that goes deeper than just getting my car fixed. I have since purchased and had serviced two cars with Jay. I live more than 2 hours North but still have Jay work on the car when it needs attention. If you have and air cooled Porsche Jay is THE man to service your car. If you have an air cooled project he is an artist and can build your dream car.
