Roundhouse Midwives

It's uncomfortable to post such a personal review on google like this, but it's also hard to see nothing but 5 star reviews when my experience was so different..I'd rather not go into details, but there were many times that I felt unheard during my pregnancy, and on quite a few occasions Roundhouse called to postpone my appointments with little notice/the day before, this became especially upsetting towards the end of my pregnancy...again I'd rather not go into details. I was assigned a team" of midwives....though it seemed most of my care was left up to only one midwife who often seemed to be overworked and stretched thin.There were moments when I felt supported and in the end a couple referrals they made for me were very helpful. The location and offices are warm and comforting. My midwives were very reassuring and generally kind. However

Had the absolute best care as a ft mom for my pregnancy, each midwife I worked with was knowledgeable, patient and put my mind at ease. The connecting pregnancies group let me connect with other women experiencing the same thing. The grounds were beautiful and were a unique and special place to have my labor, even if my little one ultimately had to be born at the hospital. Will absolutely be going back for any future pregnancies and recommend to anyone who needs midwifery care.

I had an amazing experience with Lauren and Natalie as my midwives with roundhouse. I always felt that they took my concerns seriously, and they were always willing to investigate any weird symptoms I had and to make and suggest adjustments to medications and routines for me.They supported me when I was pushing for induction at 36 weeks when I had been stuck in early labour for 48 hours, and helped me deliver my beautiful healthy baby.I would highly suggest going here, the admin staff were fantastic as well!

Honestly couldn't have asked for better Midwives with my recent home birth.Claire respected all my decisions and was so kind/helpful. As was everyone else.Definitely recommend! Beautiful office as well.

I have used Roundhouse midwives for both of my births and can not say enough about the incredible professionalism, care, and community that they create. This time Katie McNiven was nothing short of phenomenal in her ability to support me. I did not always understand how I needed to be supported or have the words to express what I was feeling. She got it. She advocated for me. She guided me through an incredible birth experience. I will forever be grateful for her and the dream team.I also had the experience of being connected to others through the connecting pregnancy group. This was brilliant even though I had been through a birth process before. Every birth is different and to be part of the excitement and community made a HUGE difference to me. They addressed new issues, brought in experts and still got everything done to make you feel you had all the support needed as an individual. I also got to know many of the other midwives through the connecting pregnancy group and I would highly recommend using any of these phenomenal women at Roundhouse.So yes I recommend them with my whole heart and being.

Terrible experience with Roundhouse. Team would not listen to you, rush through appointment, that is when an actual appointment would actually occur. When you would show up for a scheduled appointment, you would wait over an hour for them to advise there is no one available. They say that they would re-schedule" but NEVER call to reschedule or again

Have really enjoyed working with Roundhouse and have felt thoroughly support during pregnancy and postpartum. Thank you!

I cannot express enough gratitude to my midwives Lauren and Natalie, who were amazing supports throughout my entire pregnancy and birth. Being pregnant and giving birth during Covid added a lot of stress and unknown circumstance, but despite this I always felt supported and informed. Although my birth ended up very intervention heavy in the hospital opposed to the home birth I wanted, my birth was a very empowering experience and I credit this to how supported I felt, despite my circumstance.

I was fortunate enough to have the wonderful Natalie Hicken from Roundhouse Midwives to care for me throughout the pregnancy and delivery of my now 2 month old baby. I can't even express how lucky I feel that she was my midwife! Natalie was very attentive, caring, and easy to talk to, but above all she was knowledgeable and professional. I felt well taken care of by Natalie, and I sincerely hope that I will be able to work with her again during my next pregnancy!

Lauren, Astrid & Natalie were incredible supports for our birth. My birth was empowering, humbling, and inspiring experience! We would absolutely go with Roundhouse again in the future.
