Interesting experience. Was a good way to kill my time here. I really enjoyed it. Would recommend to visit it if you're in Cambridge and you're curious about Earth's eras and it's evolution. Definitely you'll have some nice topics to debate in a pub after.P. S. Be careful if you wash your hands in the toilet room. It's boiling hot.

Worth a visit! Although my 3 year old son wasn't interested I certainly was. Lots to look at and read. Plus you have another museum opposite to explore after.

An underrated museum once you find it via the grassy courtyard! We accidentally entered the museum next door, causing a somewhat awkward interaction...Anyway, Sedgwick is well laid out in chronological order, and has an extra 30% hidden around a corner on the right. The displays are packed full of items, with just enough supporting information. The place is also child friendly, with little mini play areas and a shop. It was rather quiet when we went, and unfortunately it closed at 4, when we could easily have spent another hour there.

Very interesting museum. It is quite technical but with great explanations. It covers the origin of life until the Beagle expedition. Lots of trilobites, dinosaurs and ancient animals. It is very interesting to see personal and collected items of Charles Darwin.

Great museum! Very interesting artefacts and an amazing collection dating backs years and years. I particularly enjoyed the fossils of some of the mammals. Would definitely recommend and even better, it's free!

Child-friendly museum located inside one of the University of Cambridge campuses. Lots of activities for small children to participate in.A tad bit small but with an impressive collection of fossils from different ages. Also a section on Charles Darwin! No entrance fee. The staff were very friendly as well.

This museum is really for geology enthusiasts and I suspect geology and paleontology students. There is clearly some modernisation taking place, but the majority of showcases are of classic old fashioned style, which are too high for young children, although footstools are provided. Worksheets are available for children to complete or colour in. There are simply hundreds of specimens of fossils, shells and rocks to see and some big skeletons. The staff were friendly and helpful. I personally enjoyed reading about the scientists and explorers of the past who were just so curious about the world they lived in and which we now benefit from by visiting these museums.

Good size, do have little shop inside too. Do have a lift if you need to get pushchair or weelchair. Very friendly staff. Nice and clean. Excellent presentation of what they have. Some stations for kids and toddlers to play too. Really nice.
