Famous Dosa Indian Grill & Thalapkatti Biryani House
Any biriyani &12.99 on Thursdays. Any curry &12.99 on Wednesdays. Great for the price. Service was okay and the food was nice. Free parking is available behind the building. Order waiting time is approximately 15 minutes. Drinks including Tea are great. Love the special days offer.

*VERY SERIOUS FOOD SAFETY ISSUE (SHARP METAL PIECE IN FOOD)Complete disregard for food safety by the restaurant.I have ordered from them couple of times. I used to recommend this place to my friends. Last night I ordered a couple of things, my KOTTHU PARATHA literally had a PIECE OF SHARP METAL in it which I discovered when I chewed on it which was terrifying and made me worry if there were more such pieces which went unnoticed and I already swallowed them.Another slightly smaller issue with different food item in the same order was tiny pieces of bones in a vegetarian curry. Disappointing.Would not recommend or order from here until they get their food safety and hygiene sorted out.

Famous dosa arranged a halal Eid Buffet for Eidul Fitr 2023 on 22nd April. Generally they don't serve halal food, but ensured they could arrange later too if requested in advance. The owner greeted us warmly and advised they would host halal events from time to time on Sundays. He would also post in halal pages in Social networks when arranged.Food was amazing. Famous dosa made my eid treat special.The buffet didn't have any indo-chinese items as advertised. Overall foods were served fresh, and refilled quickly. Dosa was served hot at the table. For me, Lamb Kabab, Mughlai Goat biryani and chicken Shahjahani were outstanding. Loved the dahi bada, chutneys and desserts.Looking forward for next halal buffet form them.

Great service and portion + tasty food. It's awesome they're open super late.Service: Very willing to help out. Best part is they were willing to take my order at 2:45 AM when they close at 3 AM.Food: Had the chicken dum biryani and butter chicken dosa. The butter chicken tasted incredible. I've only had dosa and biryani in general once before so nothing really to compare it to.The only thing was there were only 2 small chicken pieces (drumstick and thigh(?)) In the Biryani. Would've liked more chicken since I'm ordering the chicken version. It wasn't my type of taste so I wouldn't order this again. I'll definitely come back to try more options though.I didn't have the dosa special but trying the butter chicken dosa for the first time, the $8 special is a steal. So worth it for that price.

Famous Dosa, like other Dosa restaurants in the area, has a Monday special where you can order any Dosa for $7.99. We decided to give this restaurant a try. On the table, we had:Chicken Vindaloo DosaGongura Cheese Masala DosaMini Cheese Dosa (from the Kids menu)Gongura was a new word for us, so we had to inquire about that one. The waitress explained that it was a type of salty spinach. My husband heard her clearly but somehow I missed the word salty" when she was speaking and so when I started eating my food I was quite surprised with how salty the dish was. It was a bit too salty for my taste

Great new addition to the Dosa strip of restaurants. The Masala Dosa was excellent, crisp with a good amount of potato filling. The Szechuan Dosa came out looking like nachos, tasting like a delicious spicy mix of Indian and Chinese. The goat ghee curry was excellent, very tender and flavourful, and with all curries on special that night for 12.99 a great deal too. Open until 3am so the perfect late night snack!

Ordered:goat biryani $17Tasty with a surprise hard boiled egg buried in the middle. Came with raita and a biryani gravyEggplant dosa $15potatoes and eggplant. Tasty came with coconut and a diff chutney I forgot what kind she said. Also came with a small daal soup.Mondays any dosa is $8 which would give you better value for your meal considering $15 for non-veg is a bit pricy I feel.I’d rate food 8/10, hubby rated 7/10Service was brief but good. Food came out fast.
