We had a wonderful experience at Deep Cove today! We went on a three hour tour with Tommy our guide. Tom was so knowledgeable and very passionate about his work. I felt safe and totally supported, it was a trip of a lifetime for us and Tommy made everything perfect, thank you!! He did a lesson at the beginning and gave us interesting facts throughout. The honey donut snack was a welcomed surprise. We saw many seals!Colleen and Geoff

Easy to make a reservation online and that made for a quick check-in process when we arrived. Staff was friendly and quick to get us prepared and out on the water. Beautiful place to kayak and explore! We grabbed sandwiches from Dip Co. (SO GOOD) beforehand and enjoyed them on the beach of one of the islands.

I recently took the 2-day Paddle Canada Level 1 Skills course over a weekend. The course was awesome and packed full of great lessons! Hannah was a great instructor and took her time to explain everything in detail and demonstrate all of the skills! Booking was easy and communication afterwards was great! They even emailed the day before to warn that parking would be more difficult than usual due to a race the next day in Deep Cove. All the gear you need is provided and was in good condition. Highly recommend Deep Cove Kayak for lessons and rentals. I'll definitely be back.

Mike was our guide for our two hour excursion on the rainiest Saturday in April 2023. We were able to get out to Jug Island and had a wonderful trip. Mike is very knowledgeable and seems very happy being on the water. Even though we were soaked through to skin, we had an amazing time!

What a wonderful day!Deep Cove is a beautiful seaside village at the eastern edge of North Vancouver. I love to go there with my families for walks, hikes, kayaking and paddle boarding. The little sandy beach is nice for swimming. Along the paved pathway, you could walk appreciating the white clouds in water, listening to the birds singing, letting the breeze touching your face, Nice! For lunch, I would like go to ArMS BeaCH BiSTrO to have a beer for relaxing

We went on the 5 hour island hopping tour with Spencer and it was simply amazing. We were a little worried about going out when it was raining, but we wore rainjackets, and polar fleece in addition to our kayaking gear. We were ready to be cold and miserable in the rain, but that never happened. We were well prepared with our jackets and enjoyed every moment on the water. We saw bald eagles, harbor seals, red jelly fish, moon jelly fish, lion's mane jellyfish, hummingbirds, shore birds, starfish galore and native people petroglyphs. We stopped at one island and it was gorgeous--I felt like I was on a movie set! Spencer, a Deep Cove native, told us stories about how resident life has changed at the Cove over the years, but he said that the Kayak Center has been a community anchor which provides jobs for the locals. The people at the Center are all very friendly, ready to answer a question and all around nature lovers who are passionate about sharing their knowledge. This is a great trip and I highly recommend it!!To get there we took an Uber from Canada Place in Vancouver to Deep Cover for $30 US and it was worth it--we were not spending money on a daily car rental. We got to our tour on time and we didnt have to get up early. On the way back, we decided to take the bus and it was terriffic and easy to do. At the Deep Cove stop, I was not sure that we were in the right place, so I asked the bus driver and he was very friendly and said that we were indeed in the right spot. He even voluteered the name of the stop where he thought we should get off the bus. The bustop in Deep Cove is easy to find--just steps away from Honey’s Doughnuts. We took the bus several times during our stay in Vancouver and it was always a good experience. If you are thinking of taking the bus roundtrip to Deep Cove, I think it's a good idea. The very last picture in my posting is a class of local 5th graders going out for a day on the water. If they can do it, so can you!

My friends and I signed up for the 3 hr deep cove explorer tour and it was such a phenomenal experience. Mind you, most of us had no prior kayaking experience but Fabio, our tour guide/instructor, helped us navigate the beautiful waters of Deep Cove. Oh Fabio Fabio Fabio. We could not have been more fortunate to have him by our side at all times. Halfway through the trip, he even gave us honey donuts to power us through the rest of our journey. When we got tired and couldn’t paddle anymore through the channels, he tugged us along his kayak. Fabio saved my life. Thoroughly enjoyed my adventure with him and would have stayed longer to kayak more but alas I had to return home to my WOMAN who was my true love. In another life I would have been following that European accented man with his luscious locks until the end of the world. 10/10 would come back to deep cove kayak and specifically ask for my man Fabio.

I had an amazing experience joining the Island Explorer Tour with Deep Cove Kayak Centre! The area we paddled in was scenic and we got to visit a few islands (only accessible by water), which was cool! Ben is a knowledgeable guide, and helped to point out the wildlife around the area and explain how the surrounding terrain was formed. He also recommended the Quarry Rock hike which is walking distance away from the kayak centre and it was well worth it!The tour also included a sandwich, donut (Honey’s) and bottled drink for lunch on one of the islands! I would suggest putting on lots of suncream and bring a hat and sunglasses as it gets pretty hot and sunny midday!

We went for the 3 hours afternoon guided explorer tour. Our guide Alex did a great job and the waters and scenery around Deep Cove was stunning. We were lucky and had a few seals that swam next to our Kayaks. The tour is absolutely worth the money. Can highly recommend it.

First time at deep cove. We were with a group. The leaders for our group were amazing. Some people were late. And no sweat. No stress. Highly recommend a guided adventure if you haven’t been before. Professional. Fun. Easy going. Really good group of adventure leaders they have. Would go time and time again. Thanks!
