Steveston Harbour Café
Family of 4, ordered 3 subs, 1 spring roll (3 rolls), and medium fries. Subs were delicious, quality fresh grilled chicken and plenty of turnips. Spring rolls were great and the fries must have been the Costco variety or something similar because I love it more than the typical kinds you get at restaurants. We spent about $32, super affordable now that most places cost around $15 per person to eat until full.It is a bit of an awkward place to get to, been living in Steveston nearly my whole life and have always thought the harbour was a purely industrial/business kind of place. There are signs outside the gates, so just walk straight in then turn left then you’ll see it on the right hand side. (First door on left hand side when you get into the hallway.)I see the effort put into the website and great photos posted here and really hope to support this place from now on! 100% agree with other reviews saying this is a hidden gem, will be back to try other dishes :)

This place was a little hard to find but glad we found it. Nice little place with good all day breakfast and Vietnamese food. We had the eggs, sausage,toast and hashbrown, rare beef, beef ball pho, lemon grass chicken, fried egg, spring roll on rice and lemon grass chicken, spring roll vermicelli bowl. The food was very good and service was great. Will come again...great find!

Been coming here a few times now since the pandemic and I’ve been here before and I’ll keep coming back! Basic no fuss fisherman’s style breakfasts and Vietnamese food and the burgers are good too. I have to say it’s not for influencers and tiktokers so you will feel down to earth here

Great food and best value you can find for pho. Love the food especially the spring rolls. The food is fresh. Hidden gem. Love the Jasmine tea, so fragrant.

Delicious food, really nice that I can get a good pho at 7:30am, since I can't stand standard western breakfast foods so being able to get really good vietnamese food early is a big plus. Pho soup was on par with the ones in the city centre, well spiced and fragrant without being too much. Spring rolls are also nice and crispy. Portions were also good even for takeout. Definitely check this place out if you love vietnamese food or want alternatives to getting a mcmuffin for breakfast.

The best pho broth. Light and fragrant. Really delicious soup. It's absolutely freezing in the winter inside the Cafe but they have nice hot jasmine tea to warm your hands. The server was annoyed when we said our pho was served cold. It was replaced with a delicious hot bowl a few minutes later but we felt uncomfortable for the rest of our meal. We tried to be friendly multiple times but the server was really unhappy with us. We will still go back because the food is always delicious but we won't have any expectations for kindness.

As tourists, we have been very pleased to find a place like this! Local ambiance, far from fancy places, GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY and great breakfast! Very nice people. We will go back tomorrow!

The Riverside Cafe! Hidden away inside the Steveston Harbour, is this family-run Vietnamese / American restaurant.Another hole in the wall! Food was good, but nothing to rave too much about. It is COLD inside so you might want to keep your jacket on for your meal!1) Lemongrass Chicken on Rice with a Spring RollOverall it was a tasty dish, but I prefer ones from Pho 37, Thai Son, Com, Bonjour Vietnam, etc. Despite being quite a bit cheaper than those other places, it does have less meat than the others. Spring roll was decent!4/52) PhoPho was standard, nothing to rave about. Meat was a bit too lean and tough. Broth was good and flavourful.3.5/5This cafe is situated right inside the Steveston Harbour, so feeding the cold fishermen with a nice home-style meal is perfect. Would I come back? Yes! But don't expect anything too fancy.

Food is made with love. Good portions and tastes great. Staff is friendly.Went back for takeout. Food still made with love. Eating it makes me happy.
