Holiday Inn Express Windsor Waterfront, an IHG Hotel

Always over crowding in the parking lot. If you get a spot don't leave it or you'll need to park in the garage across the street. Worst way to spend 15$ in that tiny parking lot.Breakfast is always crowded. Seems like a hotel for groups. Schools, sports teams etc. This makes the wait for the elevator very slow.Paid for one room to be River view. The other I didn't choose as it didn't matter. The paid river view room had less of a view and a worse view of the river than the room we didn't pay extra for view (the rooms were booked separately online for different but overlapping dates).On a past trip the window of the Riverview room looked like it had been enjoyed by a couple and left uncleaned. Combining the past few experiences at this location and other locations from the same brand I'll probably not recommend this in the future.

Great view of Detroit and located downtown Windsor on the south shore of the Detroit River. $15 for parking and the parking is limited. One entrance in which leads to check-in. Hot breakfast behind the check-in. Need a room key to get to upper levels, good safety feature. Rooms have been upgraded, though the one I stayed in had spillage on the carpet and did not give it a clean look. Great location if you are visiting and have a north window view. I was there on business and this hotel was the only one I could get at this time. Opposite side of town.

I had a nice and comfortable stay at this hotel. I enjoyed the free breakfast they offered and I loved the gym. The hotel also had a nice view of the Detroit River and the U.S. My only complaint is that the staff didn't do anything when there were kids fooling around in the elevators and running around the hallways at nighttime. Pool was also too small.

I travel to Windsor quite often, and this hotel is truly the best one I’ve been to. The quality and cleanliness to the rooms is second to none, with all your hygienic needs being met. Location is top notch, right downtown and right beside the Detroit river of course, can’t beat that. The breakfast is the best breakfast you’ll get at any hotel, a wide variety of foods, definitely best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Gym is small, but enough to get a good workout in. Parking lot is small, but you can squeeze in and they will accommodate if you have trouble finding parking. And the best part about the hotel is the staff! Super friendly from the front desk to the housekeeping , staff that serves breakfast. Everyone is amazing here. Love staying here and always look forward it! :)
