YOKO'S Haute Coiffure & B-YU Head Spa

My first time at the salon I got the Traditional Japanese Head Spa treatment and it was a solid 11/10. Definitely the best spa experience I’ve ever had. Not only is the treatment itself wonderful and effective but they pay attention to the smallest details, such as a gentle shoulder and arm massage, a hand massage with oils, wrapping your feet during the shampoo, adding a low back support and so much more. I left feeling super relaxed in addition to the clean scalp. Worth every penny and I will definitely be back!

Mika was gracious, gentle thorough and extremely professional throughout my hair treatment. I was at Yoko for their signature Head Spa which was absolutely amazing and an experience like no other. If you are looking for a proper hair recovery treatment Mika is your person. It might be called a Head Spa but the treatment actually makes your whole body feels restored. I will be returning very soon to continue my hair regrowth journey with Mika and Ella.

I've been to this gem on the North Shore twice. I have been suffering from scalp issues for years and have tried a multitude of different types of shampoo and even prescription products. My most recent effort was a Japanese scalp treatment and if I have to be honest, I was pretty skeptical when I walked through the doors of Yoko's. Mika and Ella worked their magic though. Not only was it seriously relaxing, but their treatment (and then the subsequent products that I purchased) really helped my scalp issues! I went back 6 weeks later for a follow-up and they used a scalp camera to show me how my scalp health has improved substantially. I also got a great haircut that makes me look a lot fancier than I feel. I can't wait to go back.

I had an amazing head spa treatment! I felt pampered and happy after the spa. Mika educated me on how to truly take care of my hair instead of just relying on voluminous hair products(because I have fine/thin hair). After the treatment, I felt that my hair has more volume and healthier than before. I didn't restock on my usual shampoo and conditioner before the spa treatment because I already get the feeling that I'll be buying better ones at their shop and I'm glad I didn't. I can't wait to use these products that I've bought from them!

I had the 90 minute signature scalp treatment and it was a truly fantastic experience. It felt exactly like a relaxing spa treatment and it was extremely educational at the same time. I learned so much about my scalp and hair needs. Since my treatment, my scalp has not been itchy or flaky. Mika suggested some new shampoos and conditioners that I love!! She also sent me an email after my appointment with instructions on how to use my new products, as well as before and after photos of my scalp. I can’t recommend this service enough!! I can’t wait for my follow-up session.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! It was so great to learn about my scalp health and needs and the effects on my overall health. Mika is so knowledgeable and explains the process clearly. She and Ella offer wonderful service and make you feel so comfortable. The treatment was so relaxing. I will definitely be back!

I love everything about Yoko's: the spa-like surroundings, the quiet atmosphere, the green tea and Japanese treats, the massage that comes with shampooing, and, of course, the haircut. Mika helped me move from a dated style I'd had for many years to a fresh look that suits me, and works with my hair. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Mika gave me a beautiful haircut! I really appreciate her meticulous way in applying hair colour to cover the grey! She is very knowledgable and willing to share, I left with new understanding of what hair style best suits me!Ella’s skull massage was superb! It was a wonderful experience for me. This was a great experience! I had the signature scalp treatment. I was educated on my scalp! One of the reasons I came here was to have an understanding of why my scalp was feeling a certain way (as silly as that might sound) and seeing what the cause and how I’d be able to treat my issues. The deep analysis that is done is unreal, you get a super magnified view of your scalp, so cool! After my treatment my scalp felt like and the best way I can describe it is it felt like it was breathing and refreshed! Amazing experience, highly recommend this place!

Amazing salon experience! My scalp treatment was the best I’ve ever had. The owner also explained in detail the reasons for my scalp concerns.
