I was absolutely blown away by this experience. The chef came out and introduced himself and some of the food he was preparing. Food was excellent and plenty of it. I tried muscles for 1st time in my life and now one of my favorite seafood dishes. The lamb was incredible..and i LOVE lamb and have had it many times but how they both presented and cooked it was again fantastic. The views are incredible and it is tucked away...so a surprise that many are missing out on.I was there with my father and other family and everyone was incredibly impressed...wish we could give 10 plus plus plus!!!Che k it out!!Julia Gwyn-Morris and Wood Family

Three of us enjoyed a very pleasant and tasty lunch here Saturday 21 May 2022. Eggs Benedict, brisket open sandwich, and omelette with lamb sausage. All very well prepared and well presented. I could have eaten a bowl of the baked beans all by itself. This is a beautiful location and worth hanging around to enjoy the marina, the views, and the fabulous gardens. Diana the resident gardener is a cheerful fountain of knowledge. Highly recommended.

Left a sour taste in my mouth and it wasn’t just the island life beer… friends and I went for lunch and it was beautiful but that’s where the enjoyment stopped. We ordered a chicken burger and got a salmon burger. The replacement chicken, we realized too late, was raw. The server was remorseful but the chef was negligent saying that the obviously raw chicken looked that way because of the marinade. Disappointed.

Really enjoyed my boatshed experience. The location is bar-none. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say it is one of the most unique locations in the mid-island. Also the brunch menu was great, we had the special (brisket hash), the eggs Benny and the simple breakfast. All very much enjoyed their food. I was impressed with the cafe options and really enjoyed my flat white (not something you see on menus often. Obviously huge shoutout to the brownie dessert.I could see this becoming our mid-island mainstay!

Beautiful views and great atmosphere. Service was decent. What we didn't love was that we were seated indoors on metal patio chairs without cushions. For the price we paid for our meals they were very basic and uninspired. For example, the beef we were served was quite well cooked, but it was served with a very small amount of roast potatoes and a little bit of wilted salad greens. No other garnishes and no inspiration. The chicken breast my partner had was fine though a little bit dry and was served with even less sides than the beef meal. Overall the price we paid for food and drinks just did not reflect the quality of what was on offer. We also found it astounding that there was no vegetarian option at all besides one salad on the menu. In this day and age that seems uninformed at best.We do believe that this place can be very successful if they can improve on the food side of things.

We came for the first time for the Burger and a Beer special. The view is fantastic, the interior is rustic charm and lovely... The Burger special was actually very good, with the sides well presented and flavorful. The beer selection was wonderful local brewery options, staff was friendly and professional... we are totally making it a new favorite. LOVED IT :)

Dropped in to check out the food and drinks. Was quite impressed with the excellent and prompt service. We went on Taco and Margarita day which is on Wednesdays. Tried the pulled chicken tacos which were so flavourful. Beer was great. Lots of choices. Very clean restaurant with a fantastic view right on the marina. Professional servers and they all wore black.

I’ve eaten here four times now, once for breakfast, twice for lunch and once for dinner. The breakfast and first lunch were tasty. I had a beef burger (from the breakfast menu) which was served with roasted potatoes and carrots and a small green salad. Second time was lunch and I had the lamb burger which was served with the same sides. My husband and I decided to splurge and celebrate our anniversary there for dinner. We each had the steak which was again served with roasted potatoes/carrots and a small green salad. The steaks were tough and overcooked. At $42 per meal, I really expected better. A friend wanted us to meet her there for her birthday lunch today. The three of us were disappointed! The burger I had was ok but the sides were a tiny portion of roasted potatoes, a little pile of a shredded carrot salad and a few pickled onions. Not tasty at all. As others have said, the setting is lovely. The staff are friendly and efficient. It’s so unfortunate that the restaurant hasn’t figured out how to prepare satisfying sides and delicious mains. And today they have a new chef! I’m fine paying well for quality food. I’m afraid that after four fails, I won’t be going back to this restaurant again.

After I posted this terrible review, I noticed that the owners generally reply to the good reviews but rarely to the bad reviews, which are aplenty. Hopefully they will be out of business soon and a good quality restaurant will take it's place. Absolutely the worst restaurant food ever! We should have believed the poor reviews but we thought, it couldn't be that bad! It was worse. My husband and I are in our 70's, and, at our age, we still run our own successful business because we offer quality service and quality products. We go out to eat a lot. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, our first impression was not good. The manager was at the hostess desk and was not friendly at all, actually surly. I told her we had reservations and instead of welcoming us she just took us to our table. Never once did she smile in a friendly manner. We ordered the mussels and the prime rib burger. The burger was the size of a junior burger from a fast food restaurant. It was dry, unappealing and instead of french fries they served home fries. Were they left over from a breakfast? It definitely was not prime rib! The mussels were slimy in an awful salty broth. I love mussels but could only eat about 5 before I apologized to our server, who was the only bright light in that she was vey friendly, that I just couldn't eat the mussels. I ordered the calamari instead. The surly manager then came to our table, said not a word as she stared at the bowl with the few mussels I had eaten, picked up the dish and walked away. The calamari arrived and were almost worse than the mussels. They were undercooked with a white sauce with no taste. My husband tried to explain to the surely manager that they were undercooked and was told that they love them like that in California! Perhaps we have better taste in Canada! They charged us for the inedible calamari and we paid over $70.00 for a totally inferior meal. What is worse, the owners were in the restaurant and never came to our table to apologize. They must have noticed what was going on as there were only about 4 other people in the restaurant. To add more unprofessionalism to the restaurant, we could hear an infant crying which, according to other reviews, is the child of the chef! Really!! Avoid this restaurant like the plague.

One star for location, which they are not responsible for. Everything they have control over, they fail at. Surly and indifferent service. Dirty windows. Thrift store furniture. And the food? My wife is recovering from food poisoning because she picked the tuna burger last night. But of course they were out of tuna so they substituted salmon. Fair enough. They have about 8 options for their Special Burger Night." I would have liked to try the elk burger
