I walked into 10th Planet Calgary with zero Jiu Jitsu experience. Coach Corey has been nothing but welcoming and helpful since the moment I reached out and inquired. He's a chill guy, easy to talk to and it was immediately apparent that Corey has extensive knowledge and a deep passion for Jiu Jitsu. He has an answer for any question in any position and he walks around and points out little details in your technique that make all of the difference. The gym is clean, safe, and everyone I've trained with has been friendly and always willing to give advice. As a complete beginner, I absolutely love it at 10P Calgary and look forward to growing better with the team! I encourage anyone that wants to do Jiu Jitsu to come straight here.

10th Planet is the perfect place to train if you're looking to improve your No-Gi BJJ game. Great for everyone from brand new beginners to high level veteran grapplers. Corey has an incredibly technical understanding of BJJ and breaks techniques down in easy to understand modules. The gym culture is super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Corey is incredibly sophisticated in his understanding of jiu jitsu but can breakdown concepts and techniques in a way that is easily digestible/understandable.He structures his jiu jitsu program in a way that builds on knowledge gained from previous classes, and he systematically breaks down each month/several weeks according to a particular position or concept (e.g., back takes, escapes from bottom, mounted pins, short-long range guard passing). This ultimately creates continuity in the learning process.If you’re looking for world class coaching in Calgary Corey is your guy. He is also personable, passionate and continually studying his craft.Nothing but good words to describe this guy!

Definitely a great place to train! Coach Corey is very knowledgeable and articulate which makes his instruction easy to understand. He's also very up to date with all the best new techniques and teaching methods. One thing I've noticed about this gym that sets it apart from the other gyms that I've trained at is that in the few months I've been here I've already noticed the rapid improvement of alot of the newer students. There seems to be good continuity and consistency in the coaching that really helps people to internalize the techniques quickly and use them effectively.

Such a beautiful gym with one of the best instructors in the entire world ! Competition proven techniques with an logical and practical approach to solving the solutions in jiujitsu/ self defense. The environment on the mat and in the gym is very comfortable, along with clean and good energy ! Decided to try out Jiu Jitsu for the first time and 10th Planet Calgary is an amazing gym! Coach Corey comes from a long line of legendary coaches and is welcoming, kind, and supportive. Highly recommend to people who may be interested in BJJ or anyone looking for a new school. Fantastic place!

Corey is extremely methodical in his teaching style where he breaks concepts into reoccurring modules that allow you to develop a well rounded game that includes both offensive and defensive BJJ. Corey does not shy away from teaching difficult techniques and makes sure his students are prepared for a wide range of competitions.
