Dr Koponen

Went there after a telephonic appointment. She told me to come to have blood work done to diagnose my problem. After reaching there forgot about blood work and asking me it’s your family doctors job. No eye contact. Never talked about my problem and then realized that she is missing something so sent me for iron and b12 year. $1 for small paper for the food to avoid and not even interested in any dishonesty or treatmentDon’t waste your time, very rude too

DO NOT GO TO HER. She is incredibly rude, and i even accused me of lying to her when I said that I didn’t do cocaine. I went in as a precautionary measure to make sure that I didn’t have seizures, as other doctors had already confirmed I didn’t have any. She diagnosed me with “frontal lobe seizures” within 5 minutes of speaking with me and running 0 tests.She suspended my license and I’ve been jumping through hoops to try and get it back for OVER A YEAR now, and I still don’t have it back. She also refused to refer me to a clinic in mycity, and isn’t open on weekends, meaning I had to train 3 hours back and miss my classes for any appointments. I ended up just cancelling all my appointments with her and going somewhere else. I’ve been unable to work because of this and I wish I’d never gone to her. I’ve also told myfamily doctor not to send her any morepatients.

Literally had a broken spine for 8 years, saw her sometime during that from 2007 - 2014 and she was extremely rude and told me i was crazy and everything was fine.I am very lucky to be walking and that is thanks to a completely different team. Dr. Eric George Duncan's team in Mississauga.I would give this doc a 0 star rating but it didn't let me.Duncan would get 6/5.

Very bad experience. Upon ariving there, saw this doctor treating roughly to her reception lady.Upon talking to us, doctor face was totally flat with no expression and her tone was commanding, whereas we all know that politeness and happy face of doctor help patients recovering fast.A thing which we didn’t say, doctor tried to impose on us by saying ‘ you didn’t show me that report so I will write to your refering doctor that you have refused’. Whereas we just said that report is at home and we were thinking that referring doctor has already sent this doctor everything the way other info has been emailed or mailed to her before our appointment here.My son had brain tumer and now is on epilepsy medicines got scared of her due to her attitude and also when she asked him about trying a medicine Keppra which he took in past. That medicine had left very horrible memories on all of us when he used to have hallucination attacks of black big things falling over him, as side effect of that medicine. If she had spoken softly, patient would be OK.Dear friends if possible, please find some other neuro doctor.

I would give her 0 stars, Doctor is very rude and unprofessional, she doesn't let others speak. How come people still keep coming to her. Really bad experience.

The only reason I rated 1 star was because there is no option for minus Zero star. I've never been one to do reviews but this really is bad. I was hoping that I was just having a bad day but the other reviews confirmed that its not me. I saw her today, not once did she look at me, not even when she asked me to walk with one leg in front of the other, she never listened to me or ask me for my concerns. She was so disconnected, her persona was that of a person who is intoxicated. I tried to talk with her, and I pointed to which I was having issues, and she didn't even look up off her computer, I had to ask her can you see what I'm showing you?" she still didn't respond. Her front desk staff was not polite

She is abrupt and efficient. She's a specialist and I appreciate that I don't have to ever wait because she is always on schedule. She evaluates and deals with you professionally.

One of the dumbest doctor in treatment ,extremely rude and senseless old lady i have never seen in my life . Never ever go to this neurologist even if it’s free.Waste of time and money. Please to all who read this don’t go there. There are better neurologist in Mississauga.

My dad went to this specialist a few times and understandably (she's human and she was trying) she couldn't diagnosis what was happening to him. We continued to book him for more and more appointments . More and more testing. We were getting desperate and my dad was getting worse , so my dad asked her for a second opinion , she got offended and told him she won't book him anymore and that he can go where ever he wants . My dad got in with a specialist in Toronto and he was almost immediately diagnosed .

My dad was very ill and the doctor's could not figure out what was happening to him. Dr. Koponen agreed to meet him at the last minute without an appointment. She sent him right away for testing and was on top of it. She is a doctor who treats her patients and is focused on healing them. Most of these reviews seem to be looking for a certain bedside manner. The doctor is on point and our family is grateful to her.
