ecologyst - Victoria Store

We were visiting from out of town, and dropped by on a Tuesday. It was such a wonderful experience. Sarah took a lot of time with us to help find some great selections, and even made some wonderful food and shop recommendations for us around town which were lovely.

Great store. Wonderful products. Bought a cashmere and merino wool toque. I do not live in Victoria... I live in Ottawa, Ontario, and the toque will keep me warm through the winter here - and constantly remind me about the island life.

Love the product and the business model. I have a number of ecologyst things I have bought now and I couldn't be happier with them. Quality is amazing and the people who work there are so helpful and genuine. I highly recommend them, and its all locally made as well!

Their story is an amazing story of effort to become more eco/sustainable, while providing quality/lasting products. Its comfortable. Its beautiful. Their fisherman toque, and cotton socks are a family staple. Their sweaters are on our wish list. Their new space is simple and beautiful. Easy to shop with a toddler.

Outstanding clothing, staff, and customer service.The article I purchased for a gift seems extremely comfortable and of great workmanship. Looking for clothes for myself now hahaThe items are more expensive than 'regular stores' that are popular but that's because ecolgyst seems to make sure everyone in the process gets a fair wage, not just the top. Definitely worth the necessary increased price in my opinion.Will for sure be back to buy more

Went in store to do a quick size swap on a Christmas gift - still in the box with the original tags attached - and was told that their system won't honour exchanges without the original order number. Obviously I don't have this as it was a gift to me. Meanwhile the shirt is now on sale and running out of stock, so by the time I get the actual order number tracked down and go back, it will be gone. What's the point of buying local if your experience is reduced to a computer interaction?

This store admittedly catches the eye, layout of the merchandising draws the consumer towards a variety of premium apparel. If your in lovely victoria downtown this unique store should be on your list of destinations. staff was vary well informed of the history of the store and there brand values.Thanks ecologyst!

the employee who helped us was super super nice and helpful, she had showed us 10-15 cool places around Victoria as well as gave us a great rundown of how the clothing brand works. She was very knowledgeable and friendly! Thank you Sarah!

I really want to give Ecologist five stars, I love the quality of their products, I like their business model. But their customer service absolutely sucks.Want to do a return or exchange? Better have the order number otherwise it is impossible. Did you order online? The order number is written on a post card included in the box. Better make sure if it doesn't get recycled. Is it a gift? Better make sure the giver saved all the info or you are out of luck.Did you guys get this system from a cereal box? This is a pretty poor way to treat customers, especially ones who just want to exchange for a different size.I was actually going to take part in their investment program, but this kind of a abysmally designed system is a massive red flag.Buyer beware.

I just rediscovered Ecologyst. I have bought two shirts from them this year (one organic cotton and on merino wool) and they are of the highest quality. They instantly became my two favourite shirts. It's a good thing merino doesn't stink because I haven't taken it off in a few days (kidding... Or am I?). 10/100% recommend this company and their mission.
