R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum
The R.J. Haney Heritage Village is a great gem of a spot in Salmon Arm. The buildings are either carefully restored or new replicas of historic buildings from the early days of the town’s existence. The Sprig of Heather restaurant is a nice place to eat and has a lovely terrace surrounded by lovingly tended gardens. We very much enjoyed the dinner theatre, and we’re delighted to discover that the actors were also our servers at dinner! It was a lovely evening. We’re going back for a tour of the town and to attend the Harvest festival in mid-September. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed!

Neat heritage village with a lot of interesting history. I was very interested to hear that the Haneys moved to Maple Ridge too. Worth a visit, but definitely bring bug spray!

This is a fantastic locale for anyone with an interest in history. There are several replica buildings from the early 20th century which on their own are interesting, but there are also several incredible Indigenous artefacts on loan from local Nations that on their own are worth the visit.The food was simple and unpretentious and exactly what I was hoping for (try the Shepherd's pie!). There's nothing fancy here, but there's no need either, as what's served is excellent.A great, family friendly site with plenty to offer everyone.

Super staff. Given tour of Haney home upon arrival. Nice restaurant and fair prices. Very well kept property with many historical items to view. Hopefully local support helps to keep increasing displays and expanding exhibits.

Great historical museum village with well restored buildings and old vintage cars and trucks. I loved wandering around the village taking in all the interesting artifacts from the past. Worth a visit if you are in the North Okanagan.
