In spite of all the negative reviews I read here, I have to say that it has been a pleasure working as a freelance interpreter with them. Cannot complain about payments. Annabelle has been very professional with me.

Me and my wife have not been paid a single penny even after repeated reminders of jobs done in November and December 2016! DO NOT work for them. They do not reply to your emails and when I asked if I could come down to discuss issues, they refused to meet in person.

This company breaks up translation projects into tiny parts and outsources them to multiple translators, then fails to pay even the smallest amount outstanding. They delay payment over and over and try to retain freelancers by promising payment and more work, but the payments never arrive. As if that weren't bad enough, they have the nerve to ask translators to do more work even while they're still waiting to be paid.

I worked for their assignment in February as a freelance interpreter and still haven't received the paymemt. I sent them several emails but they have never got back to me. Nobody answers the phone call. They still contact me for an assignment but don't reply to me when I ask about the outstanding payment.Whoever considering to use this company for translation service, keep in mind that they don't pay their translators.

THEY DONT PAY!!!Do not work for them, they ignore you and keep asking you to work with promises of pay coming later due to clients not paying them. Taking them to small claims is the only way they settle

They will use you without paying you. They will ask you to work at least 2 months before your first pay; but, you won't get a dime. When you try to reach them after, they will block you.

I worked as a freelance interpreter for two months in 2018 but didn't get a penny from this company. I called and emailed them multiple times to pay me but couldn't get any. This company is not supposed to operate in Canada.

Do not think to work for this place. They dont pay at all. I have not got paid for 7 months. They owe me thousands of dollars in unpaid work. I have filed complaints with Ministry of Labour. I also filed a complaint with Small Claim Court. I feel sorry for people who still getting hired and scammed by Annabelle and her husband. I saw this company going from success to failure.

Able Translations does not even deserve 1 star. They constantly call you when they need your services but when it is time to pay you, they become completely unreachable. The complete disrespect they show towards their interpreters by not paying them is unbelievable for a Canadian company. I have filed a claim with the Ministry of Labour regarding all of my unpaid assignments.

I am filing a complaint with the Ontario Labour Relations Board and AILIA. You will not get away with treating your contractors this way !My name is Miriam Greenfield. I have done interpreting work for Able Translations since March 2015 and have not been paid a dime. I have signed all the contracts and complied with all the regulations. I have called and emailed them several times. This situation is not acceptable and highly unprofessional.UPDATE: After publicly posting a similar review on Facebook, I was promptly contacted and received a cheque in the mail for my services within a couple of weeks. For that, I am giving them an extra star.
