Worse experience ever. Do not ever think of doing any business with this irresponsible firm if you want to be safe.. They do put zero time or effort to go over detail with you. We were told “ yes everything you are owing will be deducted we will distribute to the appropriate party”. Now we received a fine from City as the tax has not been paid. I called Natalie( their reluctant manager) was not helpful at all by saying you” you should have read documents. What is notary’s job then? Isn’t it to simply mentions what they take care of and what not. It is so frustrating to not get a service you have paid for. I would give them less than a zero star.

Uptown Notaries helped my mom with her home sale, and helped me with my refinancing. I was in a hurry to use my fund, and they helped me by writing the cheque from the bank I use. Everything went very smoothly, and I got my fund in 24hrs. I'm genuinely impressed by the professionalism and the communication throughout. Very much recommended. Thank you!

Overall positive experience conveyancing with Uptown. Agree with previous reviewers that rates are lower than others, and disbursement costs are reasonable; however, note that rush fees are $300, and there's a $150 charge for virtual signing. Appreciated the prompt communication, although I wish there had been more direct communication from the notary (emails were mainly with the receptionist). Also appreciated that the job got done on our tight schedule, although I did get an earful about how short a timeline I was giving.
