ConMi Taco

If you are thinking about grabbing tacos here, stop thinking and eat here. Seriously the best and most authentic Mexican food in Calgary. Further than that this is the best Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico and a maybe a couple places in the S.W. US.The flavours are so on point and well balanced and the food is served with passion and a smile. The spice profile is well balanced. The ingredients are considered from top to bottom.We have tried a bit of everything at this point and I can’t recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favour and grab some food from here.

@conmitaco has become a fav #yycrestaurant of ours, and when Quin, being Malaysian born, heard their featured taco was Malaysian Soy Chicken, we had to try it before it was gone.The bed of coconut rice was the perfect backdrop for the chicken, but it was their house-made sambal belacan that transported us to the hawker stalls of KL.It was our first time dining in, and when we saw #ceviche on the menu, we had to try it! The first bite took us back to Peru where we first fell in love with all-things ceviche. All hits no misses over at ConMi. Great value for the tacos here. Friendly and attentive staff.Had the Lengua, Korean Fish and QuesaBirria with Consumme. All three tacos had great flavour profiles that paired well with the three sauces they had in house. My favourite was the Korean fish. Very unique taco offering with a best of both worlds Korean and Mexican flavour pairing.The ceviche was bright and fresh with tons of shrimp and scallops to give you the fresh from the sea taste.Can’t recommend it enough here

This is a cool and fun place to go eat. The food was awesome!The portions were good, we ordered dinner for two for $65. Horchata was delicious!The dessert is super fun and not overly sweet.I’m deducting a star because the guacamole was average, pretty much just onions and avocado, and the flavours themselves weren’t super bold, not spicy and not sweet. Was still good but not super flavourful!It’s also not authentic tacos (which was is still good)! But the shells have a fried dough (paratha) texture as opposed to corn or flour tortillas.

First time ordering. I just ordered on DoorDash worth about $35 for 2 items and here is the picture of my order. I even called them to check if they missed something, but the guy I talked to said that’s everything. The one on left is $13 (it’s like a doughnut) and $19 for the one on left (10oz beef with cheese and around 6 tortillas). Expensive and little serving. I love ordering from local restaurants as a support and to see what they offer and by this way, I learn which ones to go back and order again. Other restaurants have bigger servings. Disappointed.

We have been searching for good Latino food in Calgary and it seems Con Mi Taco is the place to go. This pop up restaurant utilizes the Meat and Bread location in the evenings wheneat and Bread isn't open.Having tried other Mexican restaurants, we were concerned with the reliance on sauces. Not the case here. Each taco is packed with flavor and did not need help from sauces. ConMi Taco was also more generous with meats.The fish taco was sizeable and combined both flavor and texture for a delicious punch. No wonder this sells out often. Don't order too late or you'll miss out on one of the best fish tacos around.The Al Pastor Taco was recommended as the restaurant's most popular item. No wonder given how nice the pineapples balance out the overall taco.Birria Taco was another favorite per the staff. It's not our favorite but it's delicious.I also wanted to try the Chorizo Con Papa Taco which is again good but not as good as Al Pastor and Fish Tacos.We also picked up churro which is as good as any churro in town. The Tres Leche is essentially a donut which the kids devoured.Definitely need to come back to try the other dishes. Of course, we will never skip ordering at least the Al Pastor and Fish Tacos.

We had the most amazing experience at Con Mi Taco. Enjoyed the surprise of having the chef choose our entire meal. From beginning to end it was a fantastic dinner out. And the service was amazing.

Seriously the best tacos I've ever had! If you live in Calgary or are visiting you CANNOT miss this place. The most flavorful thoughtful fillings and well thought out presentation. Also an amazing all you can eat option to try them all. My compliments to the chefs!!!

The Birria and Al Pastor tacos are absolutely delicious. The two person taco dinner for $50 is a great deal on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, you get 5 tacos person and it’s definitely filling. The Tocino and Shrimp were not my personal favourites, still had good a depth of flavour. The salsas you get on the side are so delicious, my favourite was the mango habanero. Would absolutely recommend this place - the vibe; the food; the service, all of it was top notch.
