Bad service, worse lumber.I order lumber for home delivery often, but this was my first time ordering from Kent.I placed the order online and the form said I would be contacted within 24 hours to schedule a delivery time. Never happened.I ended up contacting them later the next day, well past the 24 hour window only to be told they're working on it and that someone would contact me the next morning to schedule a delivery time that works for me.The next day (day 3) the truck just showed up with the order right before I was heading to work, meaning I had to be late to accept the order. There was no communication to schedule a delivery time as I was told there would be. No other place I have ordered from has ever just come by without scheduling a time, or taken more than a day to get a lumber order together, especially one as simple as this. It was all 2x4x8s.Later in the day when I was off work and going to use the wood I realized it was completely rotten and infested with millipedes. The wood was so soft I was able to insert a pencil into it easily. See attached picture.They also sent me the wrong sized staples, which would be no big deal if not for how the rest of the order was handled.I contacted the store to get the rotten boards replaced, and to their credit they did actually send the truck back with new boards. It just took an extra 3 days. I was told that for the staples I would need to drive into town and return them to the store myself, despite the delivery driver coming back.So by day 6 I finally had usable wood. It's worth mentioning that even the replacement boards are noticeably lower quality than any of the other 2x4s I already had in my shop, but they're usable at least.Don't get your lumber here unless you're picking it yourself.

Good selection of available stock. Staff friendly and helpful. Delivery people also very good too. Just redid our kitchen and price was very good for actual wood cabinets that are already constructed. Our go to place for renovation needs.

They beat the competition by 25%.That's good savings for me.

Never find any staff. Every time I go in there to get something I usually end up having to get it somewhere else.

We recently had windows ordered and installed by Kent in Yarmouth.After service is useless and we were given the lowest grade window they have, you can hear the window whistle when it’s windyHad to pay extra for the trims around the windows and was not informed about it

It's a good place to buy things for the house or the yard at a good price

The biggest problem with Kent, is trying to not buy too much awesome stuff when you are there. Lovely staff and an inspiring place to shop.

Update February 1st 2021.The customer service has actually improved. I've dealt with this particular store quite a bit and I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. They can get pretty busy but there's usually not much of a wait for help. They have a huge selection in a tastefully laid out store. it is becoming more overcrowded with merchandise than it used to be which makes it annoying getting around with carts.
