United Church

I am not religious, so did not attend a service or anything. But it's pretty refreshing to see a religious establishment being so open minded about LGBTQ.

community involvement, checkcaring for the whole community, checkfood for people who need it, checkway to be a beacon (& deacon?) of positivity.

I love this church! The pastor (a young man who had been there a year) and congregation were very welcoming and forward-thinking which surprised me as many in the group were seemingly mid-sixties and up. I loved being able to jump right in and help serve at their free-meal soup kitchen. There were many up-coming events during Revelstoke's Welcome Week (end of November and into December) that looked fun but I only had a week so had to leave before that. I met many in this small town church and saw them at the aquatic center, museum, restaurants, and yoga studios, and it was sweet to have friends" wherever I went. There was a little free library out front of the church which I used. I did very much enjoy experincing life in this community church. Beautiful place! Worth the visit."

Absolutely amazing wonderful people.. every Monday is soup and a smile and who doesn't want a free (by donation)soup!! All the ladies are nice and friendly (they are also volunteers)and they have such a variety of soups that are all delicious!!
