Qualicum Beach is very fortunate to have Dollys Home Hardware located here. It has great service and an extensive range of products. Every time I shop here I get great advice provided by the friendly staff!

I am beginning to rely less and less on the big box store and foray more and more often to this store for a growing list of reasons. This past week I discovered that there is underground parking if you follow the alley behind the store, and take a stair or elevator up, so the busy street parking is no longer a deterrent. The store is ALSO pet friendly, which was/is a major plus with the big box competitor, but this store also welcomes The Fuzz with a cookie at checkout (this may sound like a weird condition for selecting a store, but the dog totally recognizes locations where he's allowed to shop and not just sit in the car. And it does affect my decision where to shop, if there are options.)The staff here have been amazing, no exceptions... every single time I've been here, looking for something random that I couldn't find anywhere else, they've had it, and the staff have exceeded expectations with assistance...helped carry stuff to the car, helped find hardware, assisted with questions, offered insight when presented a project or description of what we're in search of, etc. The employees have been engaged, knowledgeable and professional, and even the dog gets a greeting.I have been able to purchase components of a drip irrigation system, hardware, canning supplies, garden plants, concrete, plumbing supplies, lighting components, electrical supplies, pet supplies, solar supplies...the list is getting longer, and without fail, I've had more success acquiring most ...if not all...items on my list in this particular store than any other. There have been occasions where an item is out of stock, but LESS often here than elsewhere. And if I had made this my first stop, it would be less fuel overall than driving all over town checking off my list.I often work until near closing as well, so a mad dash into a store near the time they're preparing to lock up often makes me feel unwelcome in other places: we're closing in 10 min!" or lights being shut off to discourage shopping is not something I've experienced here. (I've encountered this in multiple other stores!) When the time that I have to accomplish something is limited

Great staff in hardware! So helpful, but didn't catch his name. Helped us choose the right nuts and bolts for a small project, just awesome! Better selection than French Creek for this stuff.

NEW REVIEW: I've noticed a steady decline in the quality of the customer service in this store the last couple of years. Some staff really seem like they don't want to be there anymore. Everyone used to be so friendly and helpful. Now, while they're is still a few that remain helpful and friendly, there's a few others that I now totally avoid. I don't even like going on this store anymore and I find myself going to Central and CT more and more often. I've spent thousands in this store since I moved to QB. Really disappointed. I think it's time a few people moved on.OLD REVIEW: This store has just about everything and is very well maintained and inventoried. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful.

Nice small town feel, the workers actually walk with you to find things you need and give you advice on how to do certain projects. Pretty well staff although it can get a little bit busy at times.

Went on to get a weed sprayerMy last one of 9 yrs exploded about 2 weeks ago...Tried Cdn Tire....prices and selection were stupid.Found what I wanted rite away and my friend found a screen door for her house.Friendly service ,better prices and selection.Go Visit Dollys if you have needs
