Aside from Brett never returning your calls on the days he makes arrangements too, they also do not think highly of their customers and really only see you as a dollar amount. Or as the email which was wrongfully sent to me, from Brett's assistant you win some you lose some from disgruntled customers" This is my financial well being - and I'm paying a hefty monthly fee which equals my overall debt at the end of 5 years so I'm not gaining anything from going with them

Once long ago, I was a small retail business owner trying to make my place in the world. While the first year was amazing, the others were not and the debt began to accumulate. Several years later, this debt issue stopped the progress of my new career cold in its tracks.I had been in touch with Brett and his team (Kathy and Georgette) back in 2017, and knew what I had to do, to get started with my consumer proposal. Despite the years between, Brett and Kathy made everything easy, as they told me exactly what they needed information-wise to sort out my affairs and get my proposal drafted in 2020. While drafting, Brett went through each line item, explained every detail that I needed to know and the process of filing a consumer proposal, so that I was well informed and knowledgeable on the subject. Brett also made sure I was aware of the mandatory credit counseling classes needed to attend, as part of my consumer proposal.After the proposal was sent, anxiety set in as there is a certain period of time your creditors have to review the proposal and decide to accept/reject it. Thankfully after the waiting period, I got word my proposal was accepted, and I was one step into getting out of this mess.I can't recommend Brett and his team enough. I would like to share my experience with Farber Debt Solution. For the last couple years, I was paying around 677.00 interest monthly on my visa. Since Covid 19 started, I had to close my business and relocate. I knew eventually, the time would come when I would not be able to continue paying the interest, let alone pay off my visa.Bankruptcy was not an option for me, because of my shame, my guilt and it was very degrading for me. In August 2021, I surrendered, I knew it had to be done. With courage, I made a call to an Bankruptcy agency, left a message and never heard from them. I swallowed my pride and made my first call, I talked to Kathy, and to my surprise, she understood, and encouraged me. She booked an appointment with Leah, and I said oh no, I have to tell someone else. Kathy told me to rest assure, Leah was very good and kind.The next day I had my appointment with Leah Crawford, again to my surprise, she made me feel good, her understanding, support and empathy was greatly appreciated. She told me that it was going to be a lot of work on my part and she would help me through it. Leah explained to me the difference between the Bankruptcy and a Proposal, I chose the Proposal.Once the paperwork was done, Leah informed that we would zoom, and Brett who is the trustee, would meet me at the end of our session. I thought oh no, face to face and now another person. Leah reassured me that Brett was nonjudgmental and he understood as well. To my surprise, she was right.Now, I had to meet another person, a counsellor, name Ernie Brodogi. I thought here we go! Well he was so nice, encouraging and supportive that my second session, I asked him if we could Zoom.I have to say, all four, Kathy, Leah, Brett and Ernie, were amazing to me, I am very grateful for all of them, an experience that I was so dreading turned out to me an experience of encouragement, support, understanding which I came out feeling good and free instead of defeated.I can now sleep peacefully at night, knowing my financial problems are now manageable.I want to Thank you all for this from the bottom of my heart.Suzanne Lawrence
