Madame Gateaux

Great experience. I went in for one specific item and ended up spending $30 because they had so many things that I needed and way cheaper than amazon, etsy etc. Cashier was great and had great customers service.Cant wait to use theseThank you

This is a lovely shop, with all the things you need for baking. Unfortunately though, the customer service wasn't there. My daughter (9) and I went in today with the intent of buying a selection of supplies for her passion for baking. She and her friend make cakes and pastries from scratch (icing and all). They are at the stage they want to start experimenting with fondant, more decor, etc.I was looking to buy a number of things like a cake decorating table, fondant supplies, etc. When we walked in, we got a cold hello. We were the only ones in the store and they never asked us if we needed help or what we were looking for. I ended up just buying her some food colouring to make her happy. They weren't particularly friendly at the cash either.It's disappointing because other reviews have been great, but I will choose to spend money on her budding passion elsewhere, a place where she'll feel welcome.

After months of not been able to bake cos of expensive cake materials online, I found Madame Gateaux. I can boldly say its a very chill place. Not too pricey and they have a ton of supplies. Also got a very calm and helpful store clerk. I'd recommend them for any baker!

Went here for the pasta making class with my partner and it was awesome! (missed it the first time/original date due to a snowstorm, then had the flu and they were very accomodating in rescheduling). A few other couples had gone as well - its a great spot for date night. We had pasta, wine, and dessert, then made our own pasta that we got to bring home. Alex and his wife are the sweetest! Would highly recommend, really fun experience

I love this shop! The wide selection of kitchen gadgets is very dangerous for my pocketbook but SO good for my soul! I’ve been in more than once and have made purchases, but even if I just stop by to browse, the staff is always friendly and attentive, and oh-so knowledgeable! I saw a comment counter to this, and I can only assume that customer brought that energy in with them…I have nothing but praise for everyone I’ve dealt with. I HIGHLY recommend Madame Gateaux!

Extremely amazing store with high quality products -- baking pans, sheets etc. -- as well as accessories and gifts. I never fail to lay my hands on what I need and always find the helpful staff offer the best help and advice. Highly recommended!

Excellent local bakeshop--popped in with my daughter to buy supplies for some home baking and was met with attentive, personalized service. Bonus: prices were competitive and selection was top notch (I was searching around town for neon food colouring for atomic pink donuts!). Skip the big box and buy here instead!

What a shop! I dropped in for one item and didn't want to leave. I browsed, learned, explored...found so many amazing gifts along with what I went in for! The staff were lovely and so well-informed and helpful. I'm a moderate baker but leveraged their insights and ideas to successfully buy for others - one who has a baking business. Prices are competitive and the store is just filled with anything and everything. Also, although this matters a little less - it's super cute too! Can't wait for Madame Gateaux to have classes again. Thank you - I'm SOLD!

Madame Gateaux was the perfect host and set up for a fun workshop! everyone enjoyed it and the baked donuts were a hit with everyone. highly recommend
