Canvas Pilates
I have nothing but love for Marcia & her Pilates fusion class! I recently started taking Marcia's classes this year and am so glad to have found her! She has a peaceful voice, explains poses with alternates if needed (such as wrist discomfort), highly skilled and easy to follow. The class is a full hour & at the end I am so relaxed, my body feels healthier and stronger! Try a class, you won't regret it!

When my wife suggested I join her during her online Pilates class at the start of this pandemic, I'm not going to lie... I was rather skeptical at first and not really convinced it would be something I'd enjoy.I love weight and strength training and I always assumed that by lifting heavy weights on a daily basis I was getting strong, fit, and overall in pretty good shape. As a guy, Pilates is not the first thing you think of to get your six-pack in shape ;-)However, after my first Pilates class with Marcia, I gladly revise that statement.Marcia's clear instructions and full body exercise routines showed me the importance of core strength and how to use and develop your powerhouse". I was blown away by how much impact small targeted movements can have and I am definitely much more aware of how to keep my core stable when doing my weight exercises too.If you are looking to build a strong core and want to stay flexible

Canvas Pilates
Marcia is an enthusiastic, skilled and knowledgeable Pilates instructor. I have taken both private and group classes @ Canvas Pilates, in person and currently on Zoom. You get a great workout, especially core in her classes and she is willing to suggest modifications for specific injuries and problems. I appreciate her attention to detail,body alignment and participant’s individual needs. I would highly recommend Marcia’s classes.

Marcia is absolutely amazing!! She caters to your body’s specific needs. Pregnancy puts a lot of extra pressure on your body, which leads to tension and overall tightness. Marcia’s prenatal Pilates one on one sessions are just what I needed. She listens to you and your body’s needs and creates a customized session based on your needs. I’ve been able to relieve tension, increase my flexibility during pregnancy and get stronger for labor and for this transition. She is intuitive, friendly and is a great teacher. I highly recommend Marcia!!!

Taking private classes at Canvas Pilates definitely helped me to regain some strength and feel energized. I have always enjoyed Pilates and was happy to see I could take classes here in our community. I enjoyed spending time in the studio with Marcia consistently and was able to get my injured foot back on track. Thank you!

Canvas Pilates
I have always cycled and swam for fitness, but after two accidents and a herniated disc, my physiotherapist recommended Pilates to me. I am so thankful I found Marcia. I highly recommend her classes to everyone. She has different routines which challenge you and uses techniques that best maximize our workouts, which keeps it interesting. Her classes have changed my life. My core is stronger and my overall energy has improved tremendously. I am definitely stronger with increased flexibility and balance. I have never felt so in shape and addicted. Marcia's classes are as friendly as a local, small town coffee shop. Her classes are the highlight of my week.

Canvas Pilates
I was first referred to Marcia's Pilates class by my physio a few months after my 4th baby was born because, like a lot of new mons, I was having some back and hip issues.Needless to say I could use a little (or a lot of) help finding my core strength back as well as working on my hip stability.The idea of core work, especially in those first few exhausting months with a newborn was a bit daunting but Marcia's friendly personality and her personalized approach made it very fun and I've always felt very safe and in good hands. She's very knowledgeable and is able to provide alternatives for any type of exercise that does not feel right for my body.Besides the obvious benefits of Pilates on my posture and core strength, I have learned how important it is to activate your core in every other type of activity to prevent injuries. And above all... I've also discovered the fun and importance of taking care of myself - something mothers often tend to forget!Now 6 years later, I am still truly enjoying Marcia's classes because they are different every week. So grateful for the virtual options offered weekly during this pandemic!I would totally recommend Canvas Pilates classes to anyone who's looking for a non-competitive, supportive and great way to strengthen their core, work on flexibility and overall feel amazing!

I took Pilates for 3 years but never made as much progress as I have after of few months of Marcia's instruction. She is extremely professional, willing to adjust and adapt according to my abilities, and so kind and encouraging. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

I had wanted to try Pilates - specifically using the reformer - for a long time and I am grateful it happened with Marcia @canvaspilates. Sessions with her (using the reformer and mat work) are excellent. In addition to being a lovely human, she is extremely knowledgeable and a great instructor. Her passion for Pilates makes it a clear choice for me to commit to my fitness goals and support her business. I enjoy our one-on-one sessions knowing what we work on builds strength over time. I feel the difference in my core, with my flexibility and while doing other exercises. My awareness of my posture has changed for the better and I find myself properly executing things like riding a bike in better form. Thank you Marcia for following your dream of teaching Pilates!

I am so grateful to have discovered Marcia and Pilates right here in Point Roberts. After years of suffering from chronic SI problems that no number of chiropractic adjustments could permanently fix, I have finally found relief and a longer term solution to improving my physical health, by doing one on one sessions with Marcia.Over the last few decades, I have practiced both Yoga and Pilates in group classes which cannot even begin to compare with the superior personalized attention that Marcia gives. Her experience and knowledge of human anatomy, in combination with her ability to design and adjust each exercise and correct every movement enables her clients to maximize the benefit of each session.Marcia’s cheerful personality and inspiring encouragement to do my best, always make me look forward to our next session together.
