Highbury North Pet Hospital is very attentive, caring and very thorough when caring for my cat and 2 pooches. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a highly skilled team of animal care professionals who aim to achieve the very best for their furry family members.Update...4 years laterAll our animals continue to be under Dr. Chin's care. We are so grateful, and the entire team is attentive, caring and knowledgeable. I would also like to mention, we were clients prior to COVID and was able to witness the interior. The clinic itself is excellent too. My perspective on maintaining curbside pickup is understandable. This my perspective, and I have not asked why they continue to follow COVID protocols. However, I also realize they have a very busy clinic & a full practice. I imagine keeping the staff healthy is of utmost importance for the pets they serve. It's not a big building, and space is somewhat limited in the confines of the examination room. If the staff gets sick, this slows the practice down, and animals can't be seen. I do have an advantage to have known Dr. Chin & Staff for 5+ years, so this is reassuring in our case, but I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for excellent care and integrity for their furry loved ones.

Great vet. I love the people here but they are still pretending covid is a thing. If you are scared then take your dog here. Personally i dont want to wait in the car while my dog recieves care.

Dr.Chin and his team are hands down the best place you can take any of your fur babies. I've taken my dog Rex to Dr.Chin since I first got him as a puppy, and every time they go out of their way to make sure they take care of his needs, but also mine. Dr. Chin takes the time to go over all the options with you so you can make an informed decision and doesn't make you feel rushed or pressured like other vets can. I know they genuinely love animals and you can see it in everything they do. There is absolutely NO ONE I would trust with Rex besides his team to care for him. Rex LOVES going there because of all the snuggles and attention he gets. They knew how upset I was when he had to get neutered (I called them crying the day before) and they took the time to make sure I felt supported and okay too. Rex has a stuffed dinosaur he has had since he came home as a puppy he loves, and they made sure that was with him the entire time after surgery and had it right beside him in the bed afterwards. I was very nervous he'd be stressed as he's never been in a crate, but they made him totally comfortable with blankets, a heat pad, and his best friend (the dinosaur) beside him. The day of the surgery, they actually sent me a video message of Rex with a voice over saying Hi Mom. I love you. I did great in surgery and they're taking great care of me. I miss you and can't wait to see you soon." The fact they cared enough not only to take good care of him

Unfortunately i do not have positive things to say about Dr Chin and His staff. about one year ago i reached out to Dr chin in efforts to switch to his clinic as i have always read good reviews and i live across the street. After my first experience i cannot say such good things about Dr Chin. my experience began after waiting 1 year for acceptance to be one of his patient. on Monday i received a call that i could make the switch so at that time i enquired about the fees regarding a neuter. i spoke with a female at the front desk about the procedure and was told roughly $500.00". this sounded like a fair price so i proceeded to cancel with my former vet. upon arrival to miccos first appt at the new clinic i was informed that an additional mandatory charge of $138 for blood work would also be required to complete the neuter. this was not mentioned to me prior to the switch.once my first appointment was completed and the neuter was scheduled i requested a formal quote to ease my pricing concerns. at that time i was given a quote for $800.00. (note i have already paid an additional $138.00 for mandatory services regarding the neuter) i was able to discuss with dr chin how i was quoted $500 on the phone and then given a quote for $800 once i cancelled with my previous vet. his email reply was to inform me that his staff did not make a mistake

Just like Thomas Root too I did not have a good experience with Dr. Chin; which begs the question of how others are posting positive reviews. I decided to take my dog to Dr Chin as I moved into the area and the other Vet was too far, but after my first impression of the so-called Welcoming to the front door and not allowing the pet's owner to be present; especially when is the dog is baby or anxious; so where is the compassion??? I could go on and on about the cons of this clinic, but I guess is best for someone experiences it for themselves. As for recommending family and friends, I do not think so!

Amazing service! They took my dog in when our own vet couldn't get him in sooner to remove a cracked tooth . I highly recommend

Really weird that you STILL have to do curbside drop off/pickup while your babies get treatment as their policy states.Anyways, I moved to the area and was looking for a new vet for my older cat and new kitten.I wanted to vaccinate both.I had done the new patient information that I needed to fill out, spent a lot of time talking to the very nice ladies on the phone who were so thoughtful and gave me prices of everything as I had an experience with a previous vet that demanded more money for services I did not want so I really needed peices etc so make sure this didn’t happen again. We made the appointment (for the next day at 11:30 am) and another on June 9. I was more than happy!Than at 6:00pm the night before (same day I had scheduled the appointments) Dr.Chin called me and said he didn’t want to take me as clients. When I asked what the reasoning was, he wouldn’t give me an explanation. I would the call to be extremely unprofessional and discriminatory.Anyways, we found a vet that was CHEAPER, very nice and very professional and I got into vaccinate both my cats at 7PM.Do yourself a favour and don’t go here. The ladies on the phone are amazing but Dr. Chin (from my very short phone call) seems like a very unprofessional and ignorant person.Kinda scary especially when you cannot go into the appointment with your babies because of “Covid” - weird.

Dr Chin is a very caring and knowledgeable vet. Won't trust our pup with anyone else.
