My mother was taken to hospital after she collapsed with what the hospital thoughtwas a stroke. She couldn't write her name or tell time and Princess Gardens came to the hospitaland told me she would rally under their care. The staff was amazing! Kind, attentive and rally she did!Thank you for being so awesome in the care of our elderly parents!

The care that Princess offers is truly remarkable. The walking trail and views of the river make it a very desirable place to live. I would recommend this location to any senior who is ready to make the move to retirement or needs to come on a short term basis.

My mother lived at Princess Gardens for 4 years and loved every moment. We were so impressed with the care she received and the friends she made while there. She remained active and engaged and enjoyed all the programs and services offered. I could not think of a better place for her to have lived after leaving her home.

I am impressed with the staff from all departments, activities offered within the home, and the proximity to the Millenium Trail. A lovely place for retirement living.

When my father decided he was ready to move into a retirement residence we visited various facilities. After touring Princess Gardens, and speaking with some of the residents, he declared his search was over. Five years later he is still very happy with his decision. And I couldn't agree more. My dad has received excellent care and he feels a sense of family. I am particularly impressed with the Staff (front desk, nursing, dining room, housekeeping, etc) who are always friendly and helpful. There are numerous activities catering to a wide array of interests and their special events for residents (e.g. Christmas celebrations) are exceptionally well done with lots of care and consideration!

Two years ago, my in-laws reached the stage that independant living in their own home became a challenge. They moved into Princess Gardens and haven't looked back. There are many activities that they join in - never miss a social hour, my mother-in-law goes to all the exercise classes and they go to all concerts and special events. They, as my father-in-law says get three squares a day (meals that is). The staff are friendly and helpful. They have made new friends and met some old friends as well. It is comforting to the extended family that they are well taken care in a safe and healthy environment.

Both of my parents have had the good fortune of residing at Princess Gardens. From the first day they moved in each staff member made them feel welcome and part of this “new to them” community. The location of this facility allowed for lovely daily outdoor walks along the Millennium Trail or indoor walks through the Peterborough Square. As health needs surfaced both of my parents have received excellent care from the wonderful nursing staff. The kitchen staff also has addressed individual dietary needs. As a daughter who lives out of town it has been a great comfort knowing that my mom (my dad passed away this past year) is in a place where she feels comfortable and well looked after while living her modified independent lifestyle.

Since the mid 1990s members of my family have lived in AON Retirement Communities, primarily Canterbury Gardens and Princess Gardens. Over the years I have become very familiar with the quality of care and compassion the residents receive. Meals and housekeeping, nursing care, social activities, concerts and lectures provide stimulation and support. As we aged, independent living in our own home became more of a challenge. Two years ago, in 2021, it was our turn. My wife Gail and I sold the cottage, and our home and moved to Princess Gardens. We kept the memories! The transition was a significant moment in our lives but we could see the future clearly and we needed a place, a community, that provided care and comfort, some laughs and music. It was the right decision. And the river is just a few steps away.

We had our bowling banquet at Princess Gardens. Sarah and Tim were a delight to work with. The meal was delicious and the staff were exceptional. The room looked elegant. Thank you Princess Gardens.
