AgeCare Harmony Court

Second floor care facility stinks of urine. Employees just sit around on the phone or socializing with each other. The nice courtyard is empty because the staff is too lazy to simply walk people down to get some fresh air. Place is an embarrassment and insult to tax payers. Your getting paid to do a job, stop feeling bad about yourself and help those in need. What a shame. I’ll quickly say there are some wonderful people that work there as well.

Do NOT send your parents here. These people will rip you off. The place is run-down, they reduced people's food portions due to higher costs". When you leave

No response after interview to even say hired or not. Most professional companies either say we’re not moving with this and everyone move on. But leave the person hanging, well that’s a little bit unprofessional and disrespectful, considering this is a nursing home where PROFESSIONALISM AND ESPECIALLY RESPECT are in place!

I had my mother in care here. There is extreme theft here,and my mother's death could have been prevented -if anyone cared enough to examine her. By the time the staff called an ambulance my mother was unresponsive.Do not bring your loved one here. You will regret that choice- I still live with that guilt.Corrina Chase

Thoroughly impressed by the people who manage and run Age Care Harmony Court. Elisa and her team really go above and beyond in making sure we felt welcome, informed and cared for helping us navigate through complex inquiries we had and connecting us to the right resources. In having dealt with the health care system, we have never experienced such efficiency and diligence as we had here.From the administrative to the care and nursing staff, the people are caring, courteous and proficient. Don't be put off by the facilities being vintage in feel, the care you receive and people more than make up for it and you will be in good hands. We consistently witnessed staff constantly sanitizing with checks and protocols in place to ensure this. The nurses and care aids are very professional, yet so kind. This was experienced at every point of contact and not isolated; which makes us feel there are good systems and processes in place from hiring to maintaing this level of service. This was not only seen with our family member, but in observing the helping of those who were alone. Whether those find their home here or are just passing through, they will be lucky to be under such good management and care at Age Care Harmony Court.

I found the staff very good there my main complaint and why I left was because of the amount of rats around the back part of the building and in the yard you couldn’t even sit outside without them running around you in the yard the garden I also found the food very terrible and for people who are diabetic it is not the best place to be eating I was spending more money eating out in the restaurant that I was eating therefore

EDITED 05/11/23** I have a aunt that is currently staying here. The place is rather dark and gloomy inside. However the people that work there are quite friendly and helpful. I’ve been to other care homes and usually they require mandatory COVID 19 testing but this place didn’t require that. There’s plenty of parking outside and overall I would say this place is a half decent place for a family member.**Today I took my grandmother to see her sister here. Arrived and was looking for parking. Found a open spot that an employee was sitting on the curb having a cigarette in front of. I politely asked him to move so I could park as it had NO SIGNS stating it was reserved. The employee told me it was reserved. And didn’t move. I was with my grandmother otherwise I would have said something to the employee. So we moved to another spot and waited for the gentleman to finish his cigarette and he walked inside. We then went to the original spot and parked. Quite honestly I think there should be better signs for visitors and employees should not behave so ignorantly… Unfortunately the clip is only allowed to be 30 seconds long so the entire scene is edited for the sake of uploading.**

We toured Harmony Court today. Environment was uplifting and serene, everyone was friendly, and the prices were reasonable......but the BEST part was the TOUR GUIDE, Joel!!! He could actually make touring a retirement home an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

Visited this place a few years ago and the male attendant there was rude to me. He said something abruptly about keeping the door shut. Seems the place is sectioned off between dif types of clients. Why act like this if I am a potential customer? If they are like this to me , how do they treat the patients? Not a pleasant walk through.

We have referred several of our clients and some of our friends to Age Care Harmony Court. We are very pleased to say that the People, place, food activities, location and general overall experience has been excellent. We highly recommend Age Care Harmony Court. Excellent job to all those who have made us feel we wanted to write this recommendation.
