Ottewell Eye Care

I went to this clinic to get a contact lens fitting. I have two ratings one for the Doctor and one for the front desk staff.First off the Doctor was amazing. I would give him 5 stars and ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. He was thorough, he reviewed my medical history and explained how certain medical can affect my eye health. With the contacts he made sure that I had the best vision possible and that it was comfortable. We tried multiple contacts until I found the perfect one. I visited the office a few times for the doctor to check the fit and vision. The process was long (April to July) but well worth it.Now the staff. They are the reason rhe stars are so low. I first reached out to them on March 20th, after a phone call I sent them my prescription from another doctor and a request for an appointment. After two email follow-up with no reply I called and they had no record of the previous email or conversation. I explained my full situation, I am looking to change from daily lenses to monthly they quoted me ($35) and I booked the appointment for the end of April. When I first arrived, they quoted the same price and shortly after the said they made an error and its now $75. Since I was there I agreed and paid. Following up was also a hassle, calls and emails went unanswered.The staff also lack professionalism. When I was there for an appointment, the doctor was running last and they didnt warn anyone. Also one staff placed a customer on hold to have personal conversation for over 5 minutes with her coworker.Lastly when I was ready to order I got two different quotes for the contacts, $650 and $350. I also asked for my prescription for my records, they questioned it and then said they would email when they had time. Its been 10 days with no email. Luckily I kept a picture of the contacts and ordered online.

Very good clinic!!!! My whole family was satisfied. Special thanks to Nadiya, she helped us a lot with translations from Ukrainian into English!!!!!

Dr Hahn and associates are awesome. I have multiple health issues that make evaluation and fitting difficult. Many optometrists don't have the patience to deal with it. Dr. Hahn always has patience and treats his patients with respect. The associates who help in the choosing of frames and all the other duries are all kind and welcoming.

I had an appointment for Friday morning. I excused myself from work and arrived at the clinic at the specified time, only to see the door closed and the inscription that it was closed for several hours due to training. Absolutely no one called me and told me to reschedule or cancel my visit. I just wasted a few hours

This afternoon, I stopped in at Ottewell Eye Care to get my new glasses adjusted. The glasses weren't purchased there, but they were more than happy to help me. Michelle was the lady who got both pairs of glasses fitting super well! She was friendly, skilled, and knowledgeable, and made the visit a very pleasant experience!

I was in Edmonton on business when I had an accident with my glasses. I thought they were damaged beyond repair including the arms going in different directions and one lens out. I am from out of town and have no connection to an optometrist in Edmonton Ottewell Eye care is close to the hotel I am staying. I drove to the 90 Street location without an appointment to see if their staff could at least make a minor repair until I could return to Toronto. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by their staff and after explaining my dilemma they said they could help. Within 15 minutes they returned with my glasses completely repaired as if they were new. I commend this team as professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. I can't thank them enough especially in this situation. I highly recommend them for anyone needing eye care or eye ware.Don from Toronto

Very professional and friendly staff. Dr. Hahn is amazing, very attentive and provides clear information so you know what's happening. Highly recommend.

The best experience we get each time we visit Dr.Hahn. We have been to quite a number of Optometrists in the city for the kids but no one matches Dr.Hahn in terms of doing a comprehensive check of eye health. There is absolutely no unnecessary push of glasses on the kids. We trust him for taking care of our kids’ eyes for a long time to come.

Absolutely incredible eye doctor, he was able to do a thorough exam to help me get to the bottom of my vision concerns and recommend management options.
