McLachlan Family Maple Syrup & Pancake House

Amazing place to see how liquid maple syrup is made. They are now closed to the public but make sure in the spring you are able to enjoy the pancake breakfast with their homemade syrup. If you get a chance to meet one of the McLachlan's it will be a treat as you will hear their love how they describe the process of syrup making...as well how they enjoy their farmland.

great place to stay on vacation. very tasty syrup with pancakes. syrup is on the tables, you can add it as much as you want. there is a shop with syrups in the cafe. On the territory there is a playground and a carriage ride. I really liked the atmosphere, I advise you to visit this place. not everyone worksday, see the schedule.

The food was really good and the maple syrup was amazing! There's a little trail at the back where you can learn about how the sap is collected.This place is very kid friendly had has a hay ride!We went on a Saturday and it gets busy (there's lines) from 10:30.

What a great place! The food was delicious and excellent value. We loved the tractor ride. Such a nice place to visit!

Situated along a rural road, this is one of those hole-in-the-wall places where there's no advertising but everyone knows it's the best in town.It's a maple syrup farm with a large dining hall, a small maple syrup store and a decent sized play area for kids just behind. There are cool exhibits outside that show a bit of the history of the farm and the maple syrup process.Let's not forget the wagon ride. It's a $1 per person.Staff are nice, homely and makes it feel like it's family owned. The decor of the dining hall is rustic with many tongue-in-cheek signs. You have to see them in person.The breakfast isn't cheap at about $15+ but it does give very large portions. The maple baked beans were my favorite followed by a tie of the 3 large pancakes and large sausage. It also comes with hash browns, ham and canned fruit syrup on the side. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate or an orangeade are right after the serving counter.I have to say that the maple syrup is light but very very good. I can't go back to the store kind anymore.PS: You have to arrive early to avoid the crowds! We came on a wet and rainy day, and there were still lines of cars about 25 long before the destination.

Went with our kids, the playground and grounds themselves are awesome. The kids had a blast running wild. But the service in the shop and restaurant was horrible. We were yelled at when we sat down because the table was just cleaned". The employee then yelled at my 2 year old to get off the chair and my daughter was confused and upset. Several patrons came and said they couldn't believe we were treated that way. As there are a few maple syrup farms in the area we will not be returning to this one."

Great place to learn about the production of maple syrup and support a local business! The staff is very welcoming, all the covid safety precautions were followed, and it was truly amazing to see the setup. Make sure you stop by the store to take home your own bottle of maple syrup or try the pancakes.

Very small little family maple syrup farm. Food was over the top phenomenal and the chefs/food people were the nicest. They have a little tractor ride and short ffa nature walk. Good for little kids and family’s and even all ages. Furthermore, a great place overall for a little family day. Spent 15 dollars for each person

Wagon ride was lots of fun for our little one! I would love to go back and experience everything they have to offer since we went on a whim as the weather wasn't the greatest. It was well worth it though and the brunch was great!
