Acadian Trailhead
An absolute amazing hike! The views at the top were nothing short of stunning, especially around dusk. The trail was also a good mix of natural and well-maintained. A relatively straightforward hike as far as difficulty, not too bad. A must-do hike if you're at Cape Breton!

Trailhead is at the visitor information centre/Cheticamp campground. Beautiful hike with a challenging climb to start to views of cheticamp, then a slow descend following a meandering stream. We hiked at a relatively brisk pace and it took us 2.5 hrs.

One of the best hiking trails in the area - it's good for all skills levels, but takes some time to complete and enjoy it - plan for half a day to fully appreciate amazing views. It's dog friendly, bring plenty of water - few parts with no shade, it's better hike when it is cloudy.

Nice hike , start the hike from the right side. It's a loop with scenic view points.

One of the nicest trails I’ve ever been on well maintained and the views are just breathtaking in my opinion it was better then the famous skyline trail. The climb up the mountain is a hard one but the reward is worth the struggle. The climb down at the end is a big cool down with an amazing campsite right at the trails location. I would recommend anyone doing the Cabot trail to stop here and experience some of the natural beauty Cape Breton and Nova Scotia has to offer!

I think I got lucky with the trail. We went anticipating a beautiful view of the water, but the fog was not going to let that happen. The trek through the forest was beautiful still, with mossy brooks flowing alongside the trail almost the whole way up. At the top, instead of gorgeous vistas, we were completely enshrouded with fog, making the terrain look pretty alien. It was a very cool, ominous atmosphere, especially since we were the only two on the trail!

Wow. I was so blown away by the landscape. I visited in late June. The weather wasnt the greatest but that didn't really take away from the fun. I highly recommend taking the drive around as well. Some amazing views!
