York Taps Bath & Showers

Writing a detailed event of today’s experience. Went to the store looking for a Toto toilet. The gentleman (did not get his name but seemed to be the owner), showed me some options. I did my research and settled on a Toto model. I received a price and through a quick research for same model, found a lower price at a nearby store. I then asked the salesman to match it and he agreed as long as I pay cash since he’ll be saving the credit card fee (I was still paying the taxes). We both agreed on an amount, I then went to take money out of the bank machine. Drove my car to the loading dock, the owner loaded my trunk and then asked for the money. I asked for a receipt simply acknowledging my payment. He said it was a cash deal and nothing would be provided. Without any further conversation, no debate/explanation, he unloaded my truck and said I wasted his time, I was left shocked with his behaviour. Then he had the audacity to say if I still wanted it without any payment acknowledgement. I told him politely that if he treats customers in this manner, then I can’t trust to do business with him. I left without the toilet and a really bad experience,

I ordered a shower kit from York Taps online. They were nice enough to send me the valves before hand since my kit was back ordered. However, the date for the arrival of my shower kit kept on getting pushed, with no warning from customer service, despite me making multiple phone calls to make sure it was on time. I always dealt with Jasmine who was super helpful and respectful. She helped me resolve the problem quickly. Overall very happy with my shower kit. It is beautiful.

Excellent customer service plus a variety of product selections to choose from. I am pleasantly surprised and pleased when I stepped into the store. Products are well displayed and their sales representatives - Ali and Derek are super helpful, not just before sales but after sales too. Your professionalism and service is much appreciated.

Wanted dark grey vanities for my renovations and found exactly what I wanted at York Taps. Excellent quality at a decent price - had to exchange one top as we needed single hole for faucets not triple hole - one call and correct top was delivered the next day. Very happy with quality and purchase!!

My first experience with picking out a shower system was positive but upon receiving the product, my plumber noticed the parts listed in the instructions were not matching with what was included. We called and were told they’d send out the missing parts that day. My plumber did the rough in expecting these parts.After two days without receiving them I called and was told they didn’t actually have them and to get them in was another $80- and no one actually planned on letting me know that they weren’t sending them.The owner was then on the phone with my contractor and was incredibly rude and did not want to resolve the issues. He told me $80 shouldn’t be a big deal? Then why wouldn’t the business cover the cost? Especially since this mistake cost me an extra day of labor. He yelled at my contractor to “do his job” and hung up on him. This man should not be in business. After calling back, we spoke to Jordan who was very understanding and helpful but due to the owner.. I will never use this business again or recommend to others.

Finally had time to make a review of the new bathroom I recently renovated, I purchased a new standing tub, bath faucet, rain shower set and tote toilet with washlet from Yorktap. See pictures for the newly installed. I gotta say I am very satisfied so far with all the items I purchased from Yorktap, premium quality for premium bathing shower and toilet experience. Both the sales and manager Dave from Yorktap were very patient and friendly, they did not hesitate to replace me a brand new toilet when I found cracking of the first one when I brought it home. This is the second time I purchased from Yorktap, highly recommeded, I was offered with free tower bar and hook which made my wife very happy. I will be returning when I renovate my second bathroom. 3 .4 Prices are decent. I got a vanity for 179 there. When I tried to slide it over on my tile to center it, it fell apart. I had to PL glue this unit together. Service from the employees is pretty good.

We were in a pickle and had a few short end of day hours to remedy. DS was especially helpful, from the moment we walked in until we laughed our way out at the end with what we needed. We would highly recommend York Taps from customer service to quality of products and pricing!

Would not suggest. My contractor ordered a shower kit without notifying me and I also ordered the same one. Upon finding out, I wanted to return the duplicate, so I emailed them. They wanted to penalize me 25% of the total even though I already kept the initial one. I suggested that I exchange instead to avoid this since I still needed a kitchen faucet (although I was going to purchase it in a few weeks) and they told me over email they would not charge me the restocking fee" in this case (whatever that means). When my mom actually went in to exchange for me they still wanted to charge $70 PLUS tax restocking fee instead of 25% (And something about store credit but I am not going to be lured back in with sketchy practices just to force me to use the credit). This is actually ridiculous considering I am giving you MORE business. Why would anyone want to shop here again after this in case something does not work out again? Obviously I would go else where. In the end I decided to lose more money just to avoid giving them more business (and cancelled the exchange). They also charged the 25% on the TAXED total

I emailed York Taps on December 28th at 3:42pm to inquire if they would price match a Toto toilet I had found at another store for much cheaper. Jasmin at York Taps responded quickly at 3:53pm to say yes, they would price match and that I could call or stop in as they do have it in stock.I responded to Jasmin's email 6 minutes later at 3:59pm saying that we would head over to the store shortly as I understand it is open until 5:30pm (that's what their Google profile says is their closing time on Wednesdays. There was also no mention of holiday hours and considering how quick Jasmin responded to my email, I assumed they were open).We arrive from across town in rush hour traffic at 4:50pm only to find the store closed. I emailed Jasmin at 4:55pm to express my disappointment and never even received a response with an apology or explanation.If this is an example of how little they think of customers, then I would suggest you buy from another bath store - there are lots of them in Toronto who will show you far more respect.
