Budget Car Rental

I rented a car for two days and the agent there said the total was $204. But my card was was charged $481for 2days. Please stay away from this people. Because this is reaping people off and so unprofessional. I saw the bad reviews but since other rental companies were closed on the 28th I had to go ahead bcz I had an emergency. So bad.

I had issues paying for a truck that I needed! They were very patient and worked with me to find a way to pay for the truck rental and even saved it for me since I needed it for my business.

Stay far, far away. They quoted one price, then didn't send an invoice even after asking for one. After looking on the credit card bill they charged twice as much! We were quoted for a day rate $175 plus taxes, including 100km free then 0.16 cents per additional km after that. Moving from downtown Ottawa to Gatineau didn't take over 200km but we are being charged over km more. Fine. But why is the bill $400!!!! I called to discuss and Youseff tells me the tank wasn't full. Oh yes it was! $80 worth of gas that they threw on top of there even though we filled it to the brim. OMG SCAMMERS!!! DO NOT TRUST! They say one thing then do another. Our fault for trusting they were upstanding business people and in the chaos of the move we don't know where the receipt for gas is, as that's the only way they will refund us. Unreal. Horrible, horrible business practices. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!!

Reserved 1 month in advance, didnt have truck on hand when we arrived, had to wait 45 minutes.

Good price but they need to focus a little more on the maintenance of their fleet.

Gave me a broken pickup that hadn't been cleaned during a pandemic... Can't get much worse than that

We all know how Budget/Avis works they're like used car salesman tell you one thing than another than finally sorry I will half to escalade it to my regional manager than franchise owner... . I was served by the Yusseff the manager very bossy and doesn't speak proper French just like the owners 2 peas in a pot. Always a note on the door be back in 15min

I had to give 1 star - I would give 0!I will NOT be renting from them again! I asked for a 20 feet and got the price. I inquired about the cost of a 24 feet - never got a call back but the day before I was going to pick up the truck, I was told I had a 24 feet with other price - no change of getting a 20 feet - they were all gone!On the day of the pick-up, I told the person there that the tank was not filled up - he say yes it is not to worry, i'll mark it on the invoice.I called today to enquire about the final bill - I am charged extra because to them - we did not fill the tank to it's fullest - we did fill it up to more than were it was when we took the truck on Saturday.This is ridiculous and so non professional - Not that we rent truck often, still they lost a few clients here, I will share my comment to all my relatives!
