Fantastic family to deal with. Great store for the neighbourhood, don't ever leave us. Always friendly, if they don't have what you ask for they will get it for you asap. Thank you for looking after us during this covid19 hic-up time.

It's my daughter's favorite store on the Sunshine Coast. Lots of authentic and cool things. Staff are very friendly, we always have a good time there.

Every time I go in here, I get overwhelmed with the choices (in a good way) and discover something new that I overlooked last time. Amazing variety of cooking supplies (they even have fresh fruit and veg!), treats, souvenirs, and housewares. Do not overlook this place. It’s especially convenient if you are staying in Lower Gibsons and don’t want to lug yourself up the hill for basic necessities. Not sure what the reviews about rude service come from, I’ve been in the store with 3 different employees and each one was kind.

Diverse range of products and friendly owner.

Established and integral to Gibsons as well as family owned & operated. Central & accessibly located. If your recipe calls for an exotic ingredient I bet they’ll have it or will order it in for you. One of the most remarkable things is historically it’s been open every day of the year since 1984!

We bought 3 of the bamboo roller blinds from Fong's to provide some additional shelter to a plant in one corner of our garden (on 2 sides of existing lattice fencing as well as above the plant). This was a good solution for us. Fong's were very helpful and nice to deal with!I regularly buy avocados from them and they are some of the best avocados that I've had - very recommended!We also bought 3 paper Chinese lantern light shades from them to replace a cracked glass shade above our dining room table. These proved to be a very stylish and cost-effective solution!

What a store!!! Everything you could ever need and such a nice family that own it.

We dropped into this this cute little store looking for a special pepper sauce and they had it! Also the price was cheaper than we pay at home! A real surprise! The young lady behind the till was friendly and had a great sense of humour! Wish they were closer

Fong's is the best place to buy Asian ingredients on the Sunshine Coast - items you won't find at regular grocery stores. I was making Thai tom yum soup and they sold me everything I needed, from galangal and lemon grass to shrimp paste, to the dried shrimps. They also sell items for making Japanese cuisine (everything you'd need for ramen, for example) or Chinese cuisine (they sell frozen dim sum and will take orders for fresh Chinese vegetables). If you just walk by, you might mistake this place for only selling candy, ice cream, trinkets, and odds and ends, but it's a true gem of the neighbourhood for Sunshine Coast foodies. The staff are also truly wonderful and go beyond the call of duty to help you. Just call them up and tell them what you're cooking and what ingredients you need, and they're more than happy to help you find what you need. They'll package it all up and have it ready for you (especially important right now during this pandemic). Thanks Fong's!
