Horrible service, there’s a lack of respect from the staff. They sent my parcel overseas, with no tracking number, they didn’t tell me about it till after they sent it. I sent Kim an email telling her I don’t want that sent, if there is no tracking number, and she ignored me, twice.The package is lost, Kim and her assistant claimed that it’s not their responsibility, even though they sent it with no tracking number, said I couldn’t get a tracking number. I talked to Canada post, and they said I could have added one between $20-$40.Kim and her staff need to be more punctual, very non motivating to work with them when they screw you over and totally look past your loyalty to them as a customer. They might be good to deal with, but wait until you run into issues.I will easily choose one of the many other shops around the area that are respectful, are willing to help you out, and give you what you asked for.Never using this place again, such a shame for a Shop that’s about herbal medicine.

Had my first visit for TCM in the store and my bill was $320 for a week supply and including one acupuncture. I have to admit it's the priciest experience ever.Back in 2019 (pre-pandemic and latest inflation), I was visiting another store, it was $60 for 3 days supply without acupuncture. Since I had my experience, I called a couple different TCM store and doctors. As much as I can understand the variation of med alone is hard to justify price between different store but just by the admin fee alone, it felt like a scam.Apparently this store doesnt charge fee per visit but rather how many med list they provide i.e. $30-$35 a list and I was charged $70+ alone for having 2 med lists in one visit (Is this standard? Anyone had similar experience elsewhere? Based on what I inquired i.e. calling diff TCM doc, answer was no, at least they dont practice that way). If I have 7 lists in one week, does that mean I will pay $200+ for a week supply? That bothers me unfortunately.This store does give you an impression that they are trying to squeeze every penny out of you.However, to be fair, I didn't encounter any rude staff- both the lady and the doc were quite friendly.I will continue to monitor my experience but my first impression isn't great!

I came to this store to purchase herbs, the lady gave me a lumped price that is higher than my last purchase even though the kind of herbs and their amount are the exactly the same from the past. I then asked for the unit price for each of the herb that i want, so I could understand why the price has changed, however she refused to provide me with the information and said that the price changes every second and I was such an annoying customer. There are only 13 herbs on my list, thus I couldn’t understand she could calculate my total cost in 1 minute, but insisting that showing me the unit price requires too much work from them. Without knowing the unit price for each of the herb, there is no way for the customer to know or check how she came up with the final cost. She later ripped apart the paper that I wrote over their counter for my list of herbs, and refused to sell me anything. I then encouraged her to call the police as well as the store manager to resolve my complaint and she told me she has already called the police and the manager was also on the way. I sat in the store for at least half an hour to wait for them to show up, but nobody came. She simply lied to me and never called anyone to resolve the problem. The lady seemed to be so rude and have no patience towards her customers. It seems to me that they don’t care about providing any good and comprehensive services and are only happy when you make the payment. Such a terrible experience today at this store.....

I found this store online and visited their website, I ordered Lianhua from them last year thru online and it came very quickly. The herbal medicine helps us when we were sick. I'm going to purchase again from this store because they're reliable, very easy and great when it comes to communication, Kim answered email right away. I never met her in person but I'm sure she's a great and wonderful lady. Very helpful. I'm Excited for my next purchase again. More power to GREAT CHINA HERBS!Update: I placed my new order Friday then I got the package Monday. Super fast.

PATHETIC customer experience. The lady at the store is totally whimsical and very ARROGANT towards her customers.Stay far away from this store because there are far better stores in the vicinity having better collection of medicines and at reasonable rates and also where customers from all races are welcomed and served respectfully. Totally HATE the bad attitude the lady has....

Fantastic quality & selection. Kim is incredibly knowledgeable and cares a lot about what she does! She really connects with repeat visitors, and always asks me how my mom and daughter are doing - and sometimes sends them treats ;) Visiting the shop isn't just shopping, it's an experience.It's trickier to operate in these times - it is best to order what you need in advance by phone or email if it's a larger order. You can't go inside the shop right now, so pick up cash in advance and ring the doorbell for sidewalk service.Support this business!

I've been shopping at Great China Herbs Centre since before the pandemic and always have a great experience here both in person & with shipped orders. The owners are super knowledgeable & friendly. They have a huge selection at affordable prices. Great communication by phone or email as well and always ship my items quickly. Highly recommended!

Friendly shop owner and will give you recommendations for what you need.Prices are affordable and the herbs are of pretty good quality.They won’t push to sell. And easy to communicate.It was getting extremely hot and humid and I went to pick up some herbs for 涼茶 or 百草茶。Basically a Chinese Herbal tea to help you cool down. Taste just like what I could buy in Taiwan. Not bitter at all even without adding honey. It’s the good stuff.

This it my favourite herb shop in Toronto. Professional, cheap, helpful. The main lady, Kim, is very kind and forthcoming. They recognize returning customers and provide them with discounts and special deals. Additionally, this shop has many rare herbs and ingredients which are difficult, if not impossible to find elsewhere. Below you can see some medicinal wines I brewed from herbs I bought there.I took the time to read other reviews people have written for this shop, before writing my own. It strikes me as odd and suspicious some individuals have written such negative, even nasty things about the shop and its staff. Such criticisms are a far cry from the wonderful service I have received. It is also peculiar that alongside many 5-star reviews, there are a few 1-star reviews, is it not?... I am under the impression that at least some of the negative reviews were left by business competitors, or people on their behalf. Just the other day when I went there, a few returning customers, including a medical doctor called Bob, were present, and they are were quite pleased with the service they received.Only one thing is important to pay attention to, which is that this business is a real, traditional Chinese shop. You need to know how to speak with them, and know what you want, to avoid confusion. Also, they might at times be too kind in giving you a larger quantity or weight of herbs than you paid for. So just be sure to purchase herbs separately (if these are raw herbs), and weigh them with a digital weight at home, if quantities are of importance (say in a traditional Chinese medical formula).Otherwise, no complaints at all! I mean, how could one complain when a week's worth of dosage of medicine costs as little as 3-10$ , whilst Western medicines for serious conditions go from dozens to dollars to dozens of thousands of dollars per week? It's a no-brainer to buy medicine that works, is cheapest around, and from a reliable supplier.
