Best experiance we have had with a vet. Came from out of town as we were not able to get in with a local vet and City Vet got us a same day appt for our very ill dog. They helped her out and shes doing great. Look forward to future visits with this clinic.

My guinea pig Toulouse recently ate a radish that made his eyes water and his nose run. I feared greatly that Toulouse was allergic to said radish. I took him to City Vet and they took AMAZING care of him. They did a full work up and reassured me that my baby Toulouse was going to be okay. He is now as happy and healthy as ever!

I'm taking my dog to the first appointment on Wednesday, but I wanted to write here about the good service I received at the clinic. receptionist and veterinarian were very attentive, the space looks clean and organized. I liked the idea of the app to keep us informed about our pet's health.

I would not ever recommend City Vet to anyone that cares about their animals. Going to go over all the issues we had and years of terrible service we received for our ferrets. They are only 1 of 2 vets in town that see ferrets and are now the reason we travel to Calgary for a specialist.Going to start with some of the disorganization issues. There were multiple times where they were calling to confirm an immunization appointment but were confirming the wrong vaccinations with me. Trying to give the ferrets one they already received two week prior instead of the proper one. This happened multiple times. After we decided to stop giving the ferrets worm meds, we found out that when we dropped them off, the worm meds were still being administered without confirming with us, and then we were also charged for them. After we started transferring them to the other clinic, we found out that one of our ferrets reacted to a vaccine during his time at City, and none of the staff had told us about this at all or mentioned it on any discharge instructions. Since they didn't tell us, we ended up getting him vaccinated again and he reacted bad at the new clinic. They checked their files of him from City vet and they also didn't include the reaction right away and had it added later on as an after thought.We lost one of our ferrets solely due to the vet's here not having a clue and being negligent. One of our girls had a lump and Dr. Poddar told us to not worry about it until it gets bigger. We learned after, that you should NEVER not worry about a lump in a ferret and they need to be treated right away. If we would have taken her to someone who had a clue, the lump could have been removed weeks before it abscessed on itself and we lost her. She was still completely healthy otherwise.The Dr. also told us that one of our ferrets had plaque on their teeth and that they will need to be put under to have it cleaned. Putting ferrets under is not an easy process and dangerous to them. There is literally a product called Healthy Mouth that you put in their water and it removes plaque that another vet told us about. They are so clueless on best practices and proper procedures and show little desire to make things the easiest for your pet it's sickening. They don't stay updated with new practices and technology.As previously mentioned, if you care about your pets, then City Vet is the last place you want to take them, as they are clueless and don't care about your pets, they are looking for a quick dollar. It's sad that instead of not accepting animals they don't know how to care for, they will put your pets life at risk instead.

My dog ended up having a pyo and City got me in right away. Then she decided to rip open the sutures on the inside and City was amazing and did both surgeries after hours. Highly recommend them to everyone

After our boy got fancy with his foot work playing soccer, ( I know, he's retired now), we frantically called every vet in town to get in for a emergency appointment because we thought he tore his ACL. (Any large breed dog owner knows the consequences to such injury). They were the only ones to promptly takes us in and help. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, kind, gentle, and actually took the time to read our boy. They handled him with such care. Dr.Latimer was very informative, walked us through everything. The following day, we recieved a phone call to check in on our boy, to make sure he's okay, as well as to answer any questions we might have before our follow up appointment. I strongly recommend this hospital, as well as the staff to anyone! Thank you again for helping us!!

My experience used to be good with vet and staff. But I've been trying now or 6 months to resolve a double payment that was taken from me . I have now had the owner aand staff reported to the better business bureau. Next step is final which will be having the owner charged with theft and given a criminal record. I never expected this type of treatment from a vet or staff on a mistake they made.

Had a really great experience here! Dr Latimer was so gentle and kind, she explained everything thoroughly and I could tell she genuinely cared. Everyone from the front end staff to the helpers was all really lovey. If you’re looking for a new vet I really recommend Dr Latimer.

City vet staff are so friendly, they genuinely care about your pets. They have been excellent with all 4 of my animals. I like that they discuss the cost up front before doing anything, no surprise cost.
