I hesitate to go to a mechanic other than my brother or my friend down the street but, when the sh*t hit the fan and I needed emergency work for my failed starter, it was Bob that saved the day! I found Bob to be honest and forthright with what was needed. I'll be going back to BDL for sure as my vehicle needs more help and I won't hesitate in doing so, either should you. Job well done Bob ;-D

I have been going to Bob for quite a few years now. He is absolutely the best. He never talks down to you, is scrupulously honest and never charges for things he doesn't do. He works with you to get what you need done. He is a very good man. I would recommend him to anyone (and have) without reservation.

Can’t say enough about Bob & BDLBrought car to dealership to get a “rattle” looked at. We were told that the car had just come out of its extended warranty and a few parts needed to be replaced this was going to cost us about $1600. Brought the car to Bob for a 2nd opinion on a friend’s recommendation. Bob found that the parts were in good working condition and that a nut had come loose. The fix was made the same day as the original diagnosis, and at a fraction of the dealership cost saving us hundreds of dollars.Bob was honest, kind, straightforward and fantastic to deal with. Bob is definitely an honest mechanic. If your car does not need certain repairing or maintenance Bob will tell you and save you the money. Also he does the best brakes I have ever have done to my car. The break pads last forever, I think he uses ceramic, but whatever they are made of, they last longer than from anywhere else.

Excellent service and Bob is honest. Very reasonable price and at times told me save my money. Highly recommended.

I brought my first car in to a Mr.Lube for an oil change, and was of course told I needed $3000 in service right away. That amount was going to clean me out, so in desperation I found Bob online and brought my car in.Bob was absolutely amazing. He asked me lots of good questions, did a full inspection for free, and explained to me that I didn't need nearly that much service at this time. He was honest and kind, and took the time to explain to me everything going on with my car. He treated me like I was one of his own kids.Now that I don't have to spend 3 grand on service, I can afford an engagement ring for my girlfriend! All thanks to Bob. Never going to another mechanic again. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Very honest mechanic. Estimate was precise and it was obvious Bob knows his trade very well. He saved me quite a bit of money by letting me know I didn't have to get as much work done as originally thought and he finished the work ahead of the time promised. Very happy with the quality of the repairs. I will definitely be using him in the future and will recommend him to others as well.

Bob is a great mechanic who cares about his customers. He's helped me through a few tough spots with my car. Always gives advice on cheapest vs best ways to fix things. Been going here for years and even though I no longer live in the area, I drive out to bring him my car. Highly recommended.

I just went to BDL Automotive Service and Repair for an inspection of my car and also because I thought that one of my back wheel had an alignment problem. When I got there I explain to the owner (Bob) that I got rear-ended about 1 year ago and that it seems like now my tire at the back is now wearing unevenly. Bob told me that I since the accident was less than 2 years ago I should just bring the car back to the original shop that made the repairs because this would be cover under ICBC and this way I would not have to pay for anything. I was quite impress with that answer because he could just have decided to make a buck out of me and he did not.I still ask him if he could perform an inspection of the car to see if anything else is wrong because I suspected that my brakes might be getting close to be changed. He said no problem, give me the key of the courtesy car and perform the inspection in about 1 hour and a half.After the inspection was done I return to the shop and Bob told me that my car is in perfect order (aside from the back wheel) and that I have about 50% left on my brake pads so there is no point to change them right now. Once again, I was impress with his honesty because every single time I went to a garage (like Canadian Tire for example) they try to convince me that there is at least one thing wrong with my car.At that point I asked him how much do I own you for the inspection to which he replies: I did not change anything on your car
