Been going for quite a few years now. Great experience except for the unlucky one right after lock down. Quite a few changes over the years. Thanks for hosting. Will be going again this year as well, tickets and hotels booked.Staff is helpful, and many fun types of people.

The line was incredibly long for both tickets and yo get into the hall, but it was worth it inside. The prints and merchandise this year were of great quality in aesthetic and material, the costumes were fantastic, and Griffin Burns was hilarious to watch posing for selfies with those at the autographs. Was fun! But I'm drained now, go hit up Point Suishi after for some good food...

A fantastic return to form in 2022! Otafest has been a staple of the Calgary nerd scene for the better part of a decade, and it's never been better. Can't wait to go back!

It's been a few years since I went, but I feel like this year was one of the best. They held it at the Telus Convention center which is a huge step up from the maze of their last venue. I mostly enjoy going to these events to see the artists. Sometimes it's a little hit and miss, and I can be pretty picky, but this year they had a lot of amazing artists. I ended up spending quite a bit of money and time there, which was well worth it. It's also super fun to just walk around and see how passionate people are. The time and effort people put into this is amazing. I always feel right at home surrounded by my fellow nerds and dorks. :)

I've been going to Otafest for a really long time, and I've gone as both a regular attendee and an artist. For attendees, it's an awesome experience overall. It's a ton of fun! The only downside is there isn't a grassy area to hang out in like the old location. As for being an artist, they can be REALLY disorganized at times. The staff stay kind and compassionate, but they tend to not have their ducks in a row. It's not a huge deal, but they forgot to give us our table number before the con started and things like that. Overall, though, I love Otafest.

Had a great time! Lots of vendors with cool art, lots to see and everyone was very inclusive and non judgemental. It was definitely a safe place for everyone, and you can tell how hard everyone works on this event. The volunteers really shine

Definitely one of the most fun events in Calgary - the sheer variety of events that happen during the weekend means there's always something entertaining going on. Fun to attend with friends and family or just hang out, enjoy live programming or watch the cosplayers. The charity initiatives are always super fun too - it's awesome to feel part of such a welcoming community. A+++ thanks to volunteer staff that put this on!

I love the convention! You meet so many otakus with the same interest, there is even kpop related stuff, lots of gaming and the cafe is something I want to see this year! The tickets are a bit pricey but it goes to charity. I volunteered there and it was very tiring but really fun!!
