YMCA Riverstone Child Care

2 stars, multiple incidents and reports of staff being too handsy and hurting kids . When questioned and confronted nothing ever happens when giving their side its basically them talking out of the side their mouths . They hold toddlers to higher standard than staff . Unreasonable expectations of children also no patience with children that require extra attention they use their arbitrary methods to remove them from care , staff is a revolving door. There are parent groups on social media that will also confirm some of these claims . If you can find somewhere else to put your kids you would be far better off in my opinion . The director is pretty well useless they do not live up to their web page and as far as what parents can expect of their establishment . Also after arbitrary dismissal of a 4 year that they proved incompetent of watching their refund process has taken over a month with zero consideration for families after the fact . This whole program does the exact opposite of what their website promotes . I'm not sure if the same incompetent managers look after all of the ymcas in grande prairie but if you have any choice to go elsewhere if save yourself the headaches of dealing with the worst staff I've came across . Riverstone ymca is brutal from start to finish.I response to response with all due respect we've been through that process with the supervisor of that site and head office in Edmonton and it was the most disatisfying experience I've ever had . You guys preach so much about acceptance and family and working together and our experience was the exact opposite you have untrained unqualified staff in that location one of your unqualified members suggested my so seek therapy he's 4½. I suggested they work on training their staff better that was dismissed and due to me asking questions and holding your staff accountable they basically railroaded my son out of the program. Also by the way he's in a new daycare and is the happy boy I've always known and loved I suggested to your unqualified team at this lo action that it was the environment they were fostering that contributed to poor behavior and disfunction within the daycare and having my son kicked out of there arbitrarily was the best thing to ever happen to him. I will never send my son back there and I will warn all future parents of enrolling their kids with these people .
